Now we know Ben Johnson had his distracted head up his behind when calling plays for the Lions

The NFL shouldn’t allow these assistants to interview during the playoffs. These situations need to be capped moving forward. How can Johnson be interviewing for multiple jobs and giving all his focus and energy to the task at hand. Humanly impossible. 

Even Shanahan, up 20 points in the SB as offensive coordinator started looking ahead to his head coaching gig with SF instead of finishing that game by running the clock out. 

The reason why the Chiefs have been so successful is because of the continuity on their coaching staff. Spags is never a head coaching candidate and he doesn’t mind. 

Kingsbury, much to his credit last week, said he would not field calls or interviews until the season was over, even if it meant missing out on head coaching opportunities. As a result, the commanders had a much better game plan and were dialed in, while the Lions were trying to execute impossible trick plays, like circus acrobats, with the season hanging in the balance in order to make their OC look good.

And I already vented my frustration in a separate thread weeks ago about what changes I would like to see the NFL make.  And interestingly enough, I brought up the examples of Aaron Glenn and Ben Johnson interviewing for HC jobs while the Lions were still in the playoffs.   This is disingenuous to the Lions organization.... and its fans.  

Sure it may go on across the league and everybody has to deal with it, but that doesn't make the process right (not directed at you) 

And excellent point on the Chiefs.  That continuity is part of the  recipe to success that doesn't get a lot of attention.  

The players make the plays and the Eagles have talent 

Moore was horrible in Dallas his play calling was predictable he's a stiff .

The broadcasts of these NFL games make it TV show with the coordinators anytime a play is successful they show the coordinator on the sidelines make stars out of them they have no unique talent they all call the same stupid plays.

Its not that sophisticated of a game its BS with the coordinators they can suck and lose a game with bad play calling but don't win games the players do. 

Take Andy Reid and his defensive superstar coordinator and put them on another team without Mahomes they win nothing.

Every time a good play is made they have to put the camera on the special team coach the offensive coordinator and the defensive coordinator its a  TV show they have to move their months and say something so its about the coordinators. 

The public eats this S hIT up talking about these lucky guys earning big $$$ with no special skills if you acknowledged all the dumb play calls they make why do would anyone think its a proprietary skill they have .

They knew what they wanted early in life and hung around with the right people lucky to get the job.

Actually, you are both wrong. They needed each other. Look at Joe Burrow. He is a stud stuck with a crappy coach. Happens a lot. Josh Allen may never win a SB because of his coach. 

Correct both Brady and Belichick overrated the league is more competitive now than it was back when the Patriots were winning. 

Patriots had 3 bottom feeders in div for almost 20 the league was garbage .

I think Ravens Harbaugh's a loser he's blow a bunch  of post season games with leads.

Burrows Is elite his success or failure has nothing to do with coaching he only needs to play on a team with more talent on defense.

And Brady sucked in most these post season games the Patriots won , 

Belichick didn't ride Brady the defense won the games .Plus they were just a better team cause they were playing garbage all the time .

Brady has more post season wins throwing 3 INTs  more than any QB in the history of the game.

Brady throws 3 INTs in NFC championship @ Green Bay the year Tampa wins the SB.

It don't fit the media's or public's  narrative on Brady so its never mentioned what a lucky stiff he was.

Come on, man. You sound like a hater. It’s not the coach. It’s not the QB. Now it’s the talent on defense. Last I checked, you still need a quarterback and someone to coach the team.

The media has certain narratives on these players.

You don't always win a game because of the QB , you can be outplayed and suck like Brady did many times and the team still wins the game , you don't get this from the media it spoils their storyline.

Any time Brady sat down either injury or suspension the Patriots still won with rookie QBs who never played a single NFL game .

The Patriots won because the competition sucked it was a garbage league.

It's a TV show with all these NFL coaches and coordinators the media plays it up the public buys in , the fact is they can be replaced by hundred of thousands of people who also know the game.G

Give Mahomes the worst coaches on the planet give him Tomlin as head coach and Mike McCarthy OC,  Mahomes  will still win SBs .

I have not bet against him since his first SB against the Niners. But I also lost a bunch backing him against Brady. But they lost that one because of Andy Reid’s son who sabotaged the team on the weekend of the SB. I believe they will win 3 in a row.
