Falcons have officially fallen off the cliff...if they couldnt stop Dak last week on that final game winning drive when their season really then was on the line playing at home when they had all the momentum coming back from 10 down late, i simply cannot imagine a scenario here where all of a sudden one of the leagues worst Ds gets multiple stops on Brees in New Orleans where they appear to be unstoppable Offensively at the moment...and lets not overlook just how dominant Saints are playing defensively either...Matt Ryan cant throw it to Jones all day long if hes going to be essentially double teamed all game...this has the making for another similar 49-10 drubbing

BB appreciate your writeup, if falcons are gonna cover this chalk, they need to score a lot, I don’t their defense can stop Brees n co., over seems like a good choice too if you like falcons

I know the falcons suck but.. . . I have a strange feeling..
Never in a millions years would I ever bet a ML on a 13 point dog.... but today is the day

Bator rule.. The Double Blowout System is in effect when an NFL team has scored 30 or more points in two straight games while holding each of those two opponents to 10 points or less. It doesn’t matter if a bye week is involved. NFL teams have shown over many years that when they dominate to this extent on both sides of the ball for two games in a row, they have little left for their next opponent.

You can cap turnovers. The Saints have been doing that for the past 4 weeks. Tonight was not new. Thier pass rush has been underrated also. People talk more about the Rams 1-man pass rush than the Saints, but I guess the truth showed tonight.

The Falcons are not a very good team. The Saints are a very good team. There is no doubt about either of those two statements. Having said that, when it comes to division, rivalry games, records seldom matter. Last Sunday, the Falcons played an extremely tight, conservative game against the Cowboys, in a game they tried not lose. Over and over again, the Falcons settled for FGs, punts and conservative play calls, relying on their defense of all things, to win the game. In fact, the Falcons offense did not get going, or did not let loose, until they were down by DD. Only then did they play like they had nothing to lose, driving downfield with relative ease and scoring. All this to say, in a must win type game, with their backs against the wall, average teams like the Falcons usually don’t perform well.
With their season essentially over, the Falcons now travel to NO to play in their last meaningful game. Meaningful in that the national spotlight will be on them for probably the last time this season. This is the Falcons SB and, lucky for them, they play a familiar foe, on a short week no less, that is coming off two of its biggest wins of the season. Not only did the Saints demolish a team with SB talent and expectations, in the Rams, but they also demolished last year’s SB team, the Eagles. With all that behind them, and riding the highest of highs, the Saints now face a wounded and beaten division rival, with nothing to lose, in a redemption type game for the Falcons and a letdown spot for the home team. I expect the Falcons to come out with guns blazing in this game and take the kinds of chances they didn’t take against the Cowboys. And if the Falcons can jump on NO early, and keep their noses ahead, this game just might come down to the wire. With the last seven games between these teams having been decided by 10 points or less, +13 for the dirty birds is the play here.
