So not the worst but Gibbs Over 110 (at 103) for +270 is going to come up short cause Detroit couldn't keep it close.
About 9 years ago on a Sunday, I was done for the day. And for shucks and giggles, I post this crazy wild 15-leg parlay with a bunch of random 1st half and 2nd half college hoop wagers along with Green Bay @ Washington first half over 24 Sunday night football. The Redskins score and go for two because there had been crazy winds all up and down the eastern seaboard affecting kick offs, FGs, and even PATs. Now if they get the two, I hit but if they just kick the PAT, I get a push and walk away with a 14- leg parlay. They didn't get the two.
I didn't really consider it a bad beat because it's not like I capped it. And it was a 15-leg parlay so it's not supposed to hit bu i missed out on over 100K in the craziest way.

the famous 2015 Miami Florida 8 lateral passes then turned it into a rushing touchdown with already 0 s left on the clock, had a 7plays ML parlay and Duke ML was the last leg, payout was like 19k….

Not really a bad beat.....just gross. Pretty sure it was 2010 or 2011....I had GT -9.5 & some -10.....some teasers and pleasers...GT up 45-14 I think in the 4th quarter. Then the Benny Hill music comes on. I think it was 45-28 under 2 minutes left and GT just has to kneel and its over. Nope, ran the option and fumbled the pitch.....and win 45-35.....so still won, but not like it "shoulda been"

I was 18 and my father had taken me to Bay Meadows for my birthday. I decided to play a couple of pick six tickets since it was something like 220 thousand for all six.I did 4-5 different tix with a couple of favorites, 2-3 longshots. Hit the first 2 on one of the tix thought nothing of it and kind of forgot about it since there were still a lot of races left. Played some horses I didn’t have on 6 tix and cashed a few in between but I then look atone of my tickets and see I had hit 4-4. Getting a bit excited knowing that maybe even hitting 5-6 would pay a couple of thousands since some 9-1 and 15-1 ( it was around there not exactly ) but I showed my dad I had 4-4 so far and was getting really excited as he tried to keep me calm.
There I was thinking I was going to be rich if I just hit last two. Sure enough I hit the 5th leg of my tix and now have the favorite leading jockey Russle Baze on the 3-5 shot in a 6 horse 6f race. My heart is pumping and thinking I am going to hit this ……as the race goes off I see Baze file in to a comfortable 3rd place just a few lengths off the leaders as they are all bunched up, coming around the 3/4 pole as he is a closer I’m thinking this is it he’s sitting perfectly, he makes mild attempt to get to front as he finishes exactly where he was all race……3rd place.
Being a bit disappointed I’m looking at my dad forgetting that 5-6 will pay a couple of thousands being the pot is so big as it was a Wednesday pretty empty there where he tells me you should get something pretty good back. Back to being only 18 and thinking 1000 bucks is like 10 thousand back in the 80’s we wait for payout to flash on board and I win 2,300, I’m absolutely stoked that it pays that much and quickly forget what could have been as I was saving up for my first car, I was about 2 grand short of what I needed thus realizing I can now get the car I wanted. It was a great day with my dad that I’ll never forget but I do think a it occasionally on what could have been but I have to admit maybe it was a good thing I didn’t win all that money at that age. It definitely would have changed a lot of things that maybe wouldn’t have been for the better?
I was happy so I guess it’s not a bad beat but actually a good beat.

Learning to gamble from mom, grandma is awesome.
I learned Blackjack from 2 aunts who lived in mayor koch' building in NYC.
We started by playing for Brach's candy and then for a buck or a few bucks years later.

That’s cool, then you must know how much people hated Baze and him burning favorites. I was young and used to yell crap at him with my friends when he lost as a favorite. Beer and being young was a fun time. Shame they closed it, don’t go to GGF much but did take my gf there and sat in clubhouse which wasn’t actually bad.
Sure you have plenty of stories about going to the track as it’s a lost art here in Nor-Cal, they are lucky if they pull a thousand during the week. Down south though it’s whole different story, I love Del Mar in the summer and Santa Anita is always a beautiful place to spend the day…..you still go? I only go once in a blue moon.
Wait I just looked and they closed GGF? WTH ?
