Sorry im not a nerd who posts threads all day on a website.... Heres how this is going to happen. 1 Oakland is going to cover. 2 im going to come back on this thread and laugh at everyone that bet on Denver.

shaff , thats some fine handicapping... how about some ATS results, match ups that favor one team or the other... just oakland is a lock and thank you later......

try these numbers   since 2009 oakland is 13-2 as a divisional dog and this number improves to 9-0 ATS off a SU loss.  how about NFL home dogs being 23-2 as 8 + pt dogs the last 3 years. since manning and palmer are with new teams, lets look at some QB ATS results.... carson palmer is 6-2 SU and 7-1 ATS his last eight division games against an opponent of a SU and ATS win. peyton manning  is 6-15 ATS on the road from december out, including 0-7 ATS as a divisional favorite of 7 or more pts....

now does this insure oakland is the right play?? OF COURSE NOT. but, you asked why all the love for oakland, and i am answering that question. if you bothered to actually do some research and handicapping, you wouldnt have to ask.

personally, i like oakland getting mcfadden back tonight. oakland isnt going anywhere, and this is their superbowl. dont forget they were embarrassed at denver earlier this year...

for every positive stat for a team there are always negative stats. The raiders are 0-9 in week 14,0-5 in there last 5 following a SU loss,0-4 in there last 4 following a ATS loss,we can do this all night for both sides. I just believe Denver is the right play.If you want the negative on denver I can also supply. LOL Good luck to all no matter what side your on.

 i am a far cry from a nerd kid, and its taken me almost 7 years to post the posts ive made, so the time i spend here is very small compared to my other activities.... its soooooooo nice to be retired, and after 4 years of it, i still like it!!!   with that said, go raiders.

After watching my Brownies go up and down the field last week @OAK I layed the points. Manning throws for 400+ and denver also gets a defensive TD as well. I know statistics say I made a bad bet; however, I think this is one of those rare occurances that the favorite beats the double digit dog at home.

Broncos - 31

Raiders - 10

Pigskin, thank you and GL. Let's not forget Raiders coach Dennis Allen's father passed away on Monday. When you give teams an emotional reason to bond, they usually do, the past examples are far and many. If you follow sports at all, you'll know this to be true. Raiders play hard tonite, make no mistake. I'm on the points.

I hate to say it being a long time Raider fan.  Raiders may cover the 10.5 spread.  Unless Manning gets put out of the game tonight they will not win.  It is Raiders Superbowl tonight.  Starting left gaurd for Denver is out tonight according to NFL network.  Denver will try and run the ball and keep Manning healthy tonight.  One play that does stick out to me is 2nd half plus 1/2 point.  Raiders struggle in first half of games scoring points.  Settle for FG instead of TDs.  Broncos are a 2nd half team.  Check into that.   After halftime adjustments they have dominated 2nd half of games.  Denver Oakland plus 1/2 point in 2nd half is the best bet on the board tonight.
