Raiders ML against Texans +200

Texans are worn out after a tough, physical game against the Steelers. Texans have a good pass rush and are good in the secondary but have a mediocre run defense. Friggin Mendalhall and Ingram had a big day against that run D, McFadden will take his pants off and shit on them. This is their first game for three weeks without Andre Johnson and they looked a little lost without him last week if only to be a decoy and open up plays down the field, big break for the Raiders. The Raiders should be 3-1 but choked in the 2nd half against the Bills after routing them early. Raiders even had a decent shot at beating the Pats last week, if it wasn't for Jason Campbell turning back into Redskins Jason Campbell and throwing a retarded redzone pick. An Andre-Johnson-less Texans won't put as much pressure on Campbell to score as Brady, Welker and crew.  Hue Jackson has already predicted the Raiders will win the AFC west and who knows, the Chargers are not as physical as them they have a real shot at this goal. It starts this week against the Texans. The Raiders and Texans will both end the week at 3-2. At the very least take the 6 points at the very least and sprinkle a little (or a lot) on that moneyline.

Raiders +6- $550 to win $500
Raiders ML- $200 to win $400

I think all three of these games are winnable for the dogs. If not it's only a 50 dollar stab in the dark. The Panthers have been in each game they've played so far this season. They've had only two games at home this season, they won in the monsoon vs the Jaguars and  were up on the Packers at half and almost pulled it out. This team always plays close to the number and one of these weeks will successfully pull off a big upset, and I'm betting/praying this is the week. They are at home and Drew Brees has looked very good so far this season but that defense is very beatable for Cam and Steve Smith, I expect a high-scoring game but one the Panthers have a real shot at pulling out.

Bears and Lions- Rivalry game. Anytime you get the chance to get +6 points you take it. The Bears have looked off this season but historically have been great against the Lions and Matt Forte in particular especially coming off a 200 yard running game has shredded them constantly in the past. The Lions are now 4-0 and the Bears cannot afford to go 2-3 and be 3 games down to a divisional opponent (and possibly two if Green Bay beats Atlanta sunday night) I think as long as Mike Martz does what he did last week and attempts to feed Forte the ball and keep it out of Cutler's hands so Suh doesn't murder them, they pick up the victory. Detroit has shown amazing resolve (lucky-as-fuck-ness) the past 2 weeks but are due for a loss and with all of the public on them expecting a slaughter, give me the more experienced team with their pride on the line on Monday Night Football.

If the other two bets come through, I may hedge the Bears.

I'm leaning the Raiders, but in what world did Mendenhall and Ingram have big days against this run D?

wouldnt be surprised if Houston wins on a FG. i didnt take the texans cause andre is injured and you never know how a team performs with out their star receiver. GoodLuck though.

I love the Raiders on  a tease.  Not sure I can go moneyline.  I do think they have a chance to win but I dont see it being worthy of betting on.  I do however see this being a good game and getting 8.5 points with the leagues best rushing attack seams as safe as a bet you can take.  Not to mention Raiders have 9 rushing TD'S.  The next team in line many tied at 5!!!

Common dont you know!  The 25 and 38 yards they rushed on that weak run d!!  Haha common Scruff!  Yeah they scored but fuck not even 65 yards combined in 2 games!!!  I like to think the yardage is a lot heavier of a weight to judge with over TDS.  Anyone can score from inside the 5.  Its all about the grinding it out for the yardage baby!

 

You guys are both right.  don't konw why I thought they got ran on. I guess the Ingram statement was that game winning rushing TD that stuck on my mind but you're right those yardage numbers were medicore at best. I still say they haven't seen a back the caliber of McFadden at all yet this season.

Everybody knows that Andre Johnson is out for the game, yet the linemaker still makes Houston a TD favorite. Think about it.

Well according to one of the articles on the Covers main page, Houston was originally a 8-9 point favorite and are now sitting at 5.5 so I think Andre's absence has been noted (not enough in my opinion as well) but it has still been recognized in the line. Don't find it to be a trap of any kind for that reason. but we'll see.

Raiders ML, Panthers ML, Bears ML

OAK/HOU ML GM- Hou is my last place pick for this week (with a very small edge) and should be a very close game, so yes OAK has a very good chance to win
NO/CAR ML GM- NO is my number 7 pick with a much larger edge, so CAR winning is very unlikely.
CHI/DET ML GM- DET is my number 2 pick and should not even be close, so CHI has no chance to win.

Best Dogs would be #1-CIN, #2-ARZ, #3-TEN & TB (I have Same Edge for both GMS). Good Luck tho.

Texans are beat up? Stopped reading there. They physically dominated the Steelers all game long, just got too conservative when Dre went out....Texans by double digits, with ease...

How can you be worn out if you have 1 week to rest? lol.... 

Never heard of letdown games I guess? To beat a team as accomplished throughout the past decade like the Steelers was a huge win for a franchise looking to prove itself. This game will be a let-down for them. Colts, Dolphins and Steelers have nothing close to the running game that the Raiders have. It's not even in the same ballpark. Raiders will wear them down without their best player. But that's why they play the games... we'll see.

If you like the Raiders I suggest you wager quickly. The death of Davis will probably move the line not in your favor. It's just that human mentality thine.
