There were two teams that impressed me the most this off-season. One of them being the Saints. You have to expect Brees and the Saints to be pissed about their early playoff departure to the Seahawks last year. It definitely wasn't Brees fault as their offense put up points at will but their defense definitely let them down that game. I think the superbowl hangover from the year before had a little to do with that. The Saints have too many weopons for GB to stop. As mentioned earlier, defenses are always complacent and lazy the year after they win the superbowl, especially early on. GB's offense looked great in the preseason but their defense... not so much. They have some gaps and holes to fill but mostly I think it was just them being complacent. GB's defense strives on blitzing the QB and defensive coordinator Dom Capers switching up his many blitzing schemes to put pressure on opposing QB's. One team that will not work on is the Saints. Drew Brees gets the ball out of his hands faster then any quarterback in the league. As for the saints defense, Rodgers and the packers offense should be able to score and keep up with the saints just because their offense is merely unstoppable. Slight edge: Saints
Motivation Edge:
What better way for the Saints to prove they are once again contenders and not just a first round playoff exit then to knock off the defending champs? While the packers arrive to Lambeau field they will still be celebrating and remembering last year's superbowl victory. The fans will be cheering them on and the Packers will have smile's on their face coming on to the field as defending champs. On the other side of the field will be the saints waiting for blood. Huge edge: Saints
