New Orleans Saints @ Green Bay Packers

There were two teams that impressed me the most this off-season. One of them being the Saints. You have to expect Brees and the Saints to be pissed about their early playoff departure to the Seahawks last year. It definitely wasn't Brees fault as their offense put up points at will but their defense definitely let them down that game. I think the superbowl hangover from the year before had a little to do with that. The Saints have too many weopons for GB to stop. As mentioned earlier, defenses are always complacent and lazy the year after they win the superbowl, especially early on. GB's offense looked great in the preseason but their defense... not so much. They have some gaps and holes to fill but mostly I think it was just them being complacent. GB's defense strives on blitzing the QB and defensive coordinator Dom Capers switching up his many blitzing schemes to put pressure on opposing QB's. One team that will not work on is the Saints. Drew Brees gets the ball out of his hands faster then any quarterback in the league. As for the saints defense, Rodgers and the packers offense should be able to score and keep up with the saints just because their offense is merely unstoppable. Slight edge: Saints

    Motivation Edge:
What better way for the Saints to prove they are once again contenders and not just a first round playoff exit then to knock off the defending champs? While the packers arrive to Lambeau field they will still be celebrating and remembering last year's superbowl victory. The fans will be cheering them on and the Packers will have smile's on their face coming on to the field as defending champs. On the other side of the field will be the saints waiting for blood. Huge edge: Saints

    Saints +4 .... 3 units
    Saints ML (+180) ....1 unit

    Preseason YTD: 25-16 +31.90 units

i think the packers will be hungry again and not in the mood to celebrate this year is diffrent players are excited to have football back and to have that opportunity. while brees has gotten way better agaisnt the blitz, becoming one of the best in the league agaisnt it, the packers can also get pressure without blitzing.. they also have great corners who like to jump routes and the brees is prone to throwing interceptions.... the saints defense loves to blitz but wont be able to match up with the packers offense who have more weapons than anyone else... also i know mark ingram is good, but a rooking picking up complicated blitz schemes from the packers could be trouble some... while people will say bush isnt a lose to the saints, because they replaced him with sproles, bush was a good player and an important role player for the saints...

    i am on the opposite

    3 units packers

    BOL though

So you're insinuating that the Packers aren't going to be ready to play in this game I guess.       Pretty big assumption on your part.

Saints +4 .... 3 units
    Saints ML (+180) ....1 unit

    Preseason YTD: 25-16 +31.90 units

You lose all credibility right here.  I guess you missed the fact that Matthews, Woodson, Wiliams, and Pickett hardly played at all during the preseason.  Matthews and Woodson only played in 2 preseason games, McCarthy used the preseason to get a good look at his younger guys, and didn't give a crap about the games and they still went 3-1.

Only way the Saints cover this game IMO, is by losing by a FG; just don't see them winning straight up.  The Saints have looked very sharp so far, but Lance Moore is likely out, Smith is suspended up front and it's on the road and on grass.  No play for me, they're far easier games on Sunday.

Of course im making an assumption. Thats what gambling is all about. If everyone knew all the facts we would all be rich. I think Rodgers and the offense will show up but their defense won't be as ready. Several of the cornerbacks and DB's have been on extra and TMZ at parties several different times in the past month. Drew Brees was the first to get his team together and schedule practices during the lockout when no other team even thought about it. The saints have been preparing for the packers way longer then the packers have been preparing for the saints.

Colt McCoy went 9-10 135 yards and 1 TD against GB's first string defense. Kevin Kolb 6 for 11 for 80 yards with a brand new offense. Hell even Curtis Painter threw for 171 yards and 2 TD's in the first half against the packers in week 3. Call it bias but I think Drew Brees is a tad better then these three QB's.
