Was that during the time they went to Philly and won the NFC title game? No I dont remember it and I really don't care about it. Maybe if it was December I would care, but it's not. It's going to be nice weather in G.B.(most likely).
Fact of the matter is that some trends are valuable in wagering. Look up trend in the dictionary trend- to show a tendency
brees has a tendency to lose outdoors on grass in road games. Good luck to you

That 2001 season is really going to play a factor in tomorrows game.
I have no idea why people look at trends from such far back. I wonder how many players or members of the coaching staff are still on the team from 2001. These types of trends have no effect on the game but when they win or lose they'll add it to the stat and continue it like its the same team since 2000.

I agree some trends are worth looking at. But one since 2000? or one on grass that isn't even accurate...? You can find trends about both teams that will make them look good or bad going into a game thats why I only look at a few certain types of trends. Oh and you said 9-16 on grass.......
"New Orleans Saints Trends:
When playing in September are 7-3
Past 5 meetings with Packers played OVER When playing on grass are 8-2
After outgaining opponent are 6-4
When playing outside the division are 6-4"

- Under is 9-3 in Saints last 12 games in Week 1. - Under is 6-1 in Packers last seven games in Week 1.
So which trend applies here? People over-analyze trends a little too much in their handicapping I think
I agree with you that certain trends are useless but you have to narrow down your search to the matchup. New Orleans on the road on grass is right down to what the situation is i believe and them being 9-16 ATS is pretty important and a lot of those losses are straight up and the fact that it is since 2007 since Brees got there is important. There arent too many qb's in the league like him but the guys around him are interchangeable. Just my two cents.

So saints are 9-16 on the road on grass... Saints are also 15-4 there last 19 road games, so....? In other words blah blah blah I can go on and on about trends that counter kill each other.

Yes they are 15-4 last 19 road games BUT they are playing outdoors on grass these is more specific than just a road game. Road games can consist of domes or turf but GB is neither. I'm just breaking it down a bit further. I understand not everyone will consider it important.

Just wondering, do you have a play on the Packers? Best of luck either way to you, wasn't trying to be rude earlier.

Ahhh I saw it. Saints an indoor finesse team. True enough in some years past. The saints that lost to Seattle were a banged up bunch. A mash unit and shadow of themselves. I took seattle that week as it was just a perfect setup for them.
Mark Ingram was drafted to knock that finesse shit off. The new big fatboys were signed in free agency to keep that run game neutralized. The Saints posess a great o line and now we have a d line to go with that. We finally have a healthy bunch of LB's to go with a great secondary.
GB Run game certainly does not scare me and the Saints Greg Williams will be blitzing his ass off to get to Aron Rogers.
GB has a nice D but Saints have weapons at EVERY skill position. The WR's go 6 deep on this team and Graham is a BEAST at TE! Ingram and a healthy Pierre Thomas are ghreat backs and Darren Sproles on third down and returning kicks is a stud.
Taking the points and teasing the shit out of the Saints and Over.
I love the Pack and think this is going to be a preview into the NFC Championship. Should be fun to watch and I am on my way to Lambeau in the morning.
Enjoy!!

What I can figure out is no ones talking bout the total..at 47.5. Does no one see this will be an over? I suspect and think as good as these teams are, it should hit 40 at the half. 21-20. This is anyones game. It will be the flip of a coin...literally. Whoever scores last IMO. Thoughts

I'm not sure how ready the offenses will be since they miss team practices do to the lockout. GB did not hold individual practices in the offseason. Will they be as sharp in the passing game as they will in October? You can't sleep on GB's defense either. Can either team run the ball at all or will they be throwing it 70% of the time. I do lean the over but I'm not sure.

You would think that but mostly these thursday openers have been unders. The idea is teams had all offseason to prepare for each other.
Thursday Game 1's
2008 - Giants 16 Redskins 7 Under 2009 - Steelers 13 Titans 10 Under 2010 - Saints 14 Vikings 9 Under
- Under is 9-3 in Saints last 12 games in Week 1. - Under is 6-1 in Packers last seven games in Week 1.
Also 84% of public on the over. I was going to make a play on the under but the whole lockout situation deterred me from doing so. Things could be different since they didn't have as much time to prepare. Pass for me.

I'll have plays and write-ups on patriots and chargers as regular plays later but seriously considering locking in this teaser before tomorrow. Teaser's always bite me in the ass though so still contemplating it.

Wow I told myself I wouldn't do teasers anymore but look at the odds on this one....
