I’m grabbing the Broncos ml at -143 now. Those of you who remember Scal (or think he is me:) know that this was one of his favorite angles, and one he created. This play is all about human psychology and what ultimately motivates these sometimes good for nothing athletes: shame, embarrassment, not being to show their faces on their tweeter feeds, or even the grocery store.
The Broncos just suffered not only one of the worst defeats in franchise history but also NFL history. And it would have been the worst if the Dolphins hadn’t shown them mercy.
Even their mothers won’t look at their faces until they beat somebody, anybody. This is as rock bottom as it gets unless they lose to the putrid Bears in Chicago. So yes, it can get worse. And that’s scary, especially if you are backing them this week. But the idea here is they will circle the wagons for this week and try to get the stench of losing off of them as fast as they can lest they sink lower by losing to the winless Bears. Good luck to anyone who’s got the guts to tail this one.

I didn't interact with "Scalabrine" BUT I read comments about him/her/it in older threads but I DID like his alternate nickname, scalabroni....
on the play begginerboy...
I gotta take a break from betting sports.. It gets old after a while. You know, the emotional roller coaster ride? Oh, the highs and lows (today) of gambling..
"Schrödinger's bet." A bet that loses when you bet it but wins when you DON'T bet it...

Is this a "system" play or an utter and complete fade of da Bears? One is not the other...just curious...thnx
Not a fade of the Bears. We are actually backing the Broncos. It would have been the same if they were playing a decent team, maybe better because we’d be catching points, but we’ll take what we can get. The risk is that the team is so dysfunctional that they’ve already quit, but luckily it’s only week 3, so they’re not completely toast. And both Payton and Wilson are too proud to lay down. Hopefully they fire the defensive coordinator this week. Heads should roll before Sunday.

I would agree but the BEARS are are no different than the Bronco's with respect to your reasoning. They both got embarrassed and destroyed today. Also what if the Bronco's have quit on Russell Wilson? Good luck BB. Leaning Broncos as well fwiw.

I think it’s about 100x more likely that the bears have quit on fields rather than the broncos quit on Russ… coach with a legacy first season with a team, they aren’t quitting so easy. Broncos will smoke this one

Very possible. I'm leaning Denver also.

Betting on two 0-3 teams that are close to the worst in the league provides no value. Both teams are “Wounded Bear”, which is what this angle is based off.

Maybe, but only one of the losing teams will dominate the headlines and joke lines this week. That’s the team with a SB winning coach and QB.

Before today the Broncos had 7 blown 4th quarter leads in their last 15 games..Granted this is Sean Paytons first year in Denver but I don't trust them..I would say it's Denver or no play against the Bears but probably nothing for me..Good Luck though BB

I tend to agree with you BB but man I really wished they would’ve played another opponent other than the Bears. As others have mentioned, it’s almost like 2 rock bottom angles going at each other. I remember we cashed this in NBA pal

It’s the battle of the bottomless barrels of disappointment, that’s for sure. But only one team allowed 70 points like they were playing a basketball game. The Chiefs offense is not as good as the Dolphins and they could have scored 70 points on the Bears if they wanted to. Thank god they didn’t and kept it somewhat respectable. The Bears are probably thinking they may be bad but not as bad as the team coming to play them. And they may be right.
This bet is not for the faint of heart. But I’ve got nothing to lose. Playing with house money. Turned a 25$ free play into just under 2 grand in two weeks. No parlays. All ats bets on the NFL. Now I go all in on this dumpster fire of a team on the -143 ML. Why? Because it’s fun playing on angles you believe in, even if nobody else does.

@begginerboy Im in. You’re not comfortable laying the -3?
If I was betting a couple of hundred, I’d lay the 3. But when you’re betting nearly 2 grand you don’t screw around, and you certainly don’t want regrets, especially when the ML is sitting at -143, though I’m sure it’s higher now.
