Well - now that I can get 8.5 ish, I think I might have to take the points.
That is hard to pass up.
A guy named "CKR" on another board you're familiar with gives a very convincing pro-49ers argument....personally I'm not touching this game, but good luck with whatever you choose to do.

I don't see all the SF love that you're claiming... Imagine SF didn't get blown out and Seattle didn't beat NE lastwk, then how big would the line be/where would all the action be??? Joe Public in general are "Prisoners of the Moment" and if there's a time for people to drink the "Seattle can beat SF Kool Aid", this is it! Action is much more even than you think.
These lines are set with power numbers way in advance, Cheese.
They just adjust every now and again, but not by much. Case in point of power numbers? Green Bay and St Louis, you cant have two teams who looked any different last week and they still set the # they offered 3 months ago.

sharps and square can make arguments for both sides...SF seems like the square side but squares win too and sharps don't hit 100%. They don't even really hit near 65%...

With that said, and as I said, imagine SF didn't get blown out at home n Seattle didn't beat NE, this game really would be 90% on SF. But instead it's damn near as even as they could've ever hoped for... Btw, line hitting 9+... I nabbed it at 6.5 (-120) on Tuesday

I grabbed SF -7 on Monday. I respect the 'hawks D too much to lay more than that, but I'm a Pats fan and take Russell Wilson's success w/ a grain of salt as I've seen NE secondary make ALL KINDS of guys look like the 2nd coming of Joe Montana. It'll be interesting to see how he does against a real D that HAS TO BE mad after last week. If he gets it done 2nite I'll be out of excuses & just have to tip my cap to the kid... but I'm not drinkin his KoolAid just yet

Im surprised he thought of it - I would say most coaches wouldnt have.
van i'm surprised you think this was the right thing to do. you're an odds guy. what is the more likely scenario. alex smith fumbling a snap and seattle getting the ball back, at which point they're only down 7 for a chance to win or seattle recovering an onsides kick, having to score, and then recovering a 2nd onsides kick for a chance to win. i know nothing about coaching, but methinks one of the first rules is never take points off the board.

Sir -
Since NOBODY has fumbled a kneel down in NFL history, the current odds of that happening are ZERO.
If he fumbles the snap - Seattle has the ball on their own 20 yard line needing 80 yards in 40 seconds.
