I will state the story as I remember it here. Tell me if I have something wrong or if you have something to add, I want to be sure I have the facts in case the subject comes up at my Super Bowl party.
The story as I remember: After the last Super Bowl win, Ray Lewis, some buddies & some ladies were out on the town one night. One of the ladies was found dead the next morning. Her blood was found in the limo they used. The white suit Ray Lewis wore that night, to this day, has still not been recovered. Ray Lewis was arrested, charged & found guilty of Obstruction of Justice for purposely misleading the police investigation. Her murder is still unsolved today.
Is that right or am I missing part of the story?

Following a Super Bowl XXXIV party in Atlanta on January 31, 2000, a fight broke out between Lewis and his companions and another group of people, resulting in the stabbing deaths of Jacinth Baker and Richard Lollar. Lewis and two companions, Reginald Oakley and Joseph Sweeting, were questioned by Atlanta police, and 11 days later the three men were indicted on murder and aggravated-assault charges. The white suit Lewis was wearing the night of the killings has never been found. Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard alleged the blood-stained suit was dumped in a garbage bin outside a fast food restaurant.[37]
Lewis' attorneys, Don Samuel and Ed Garland, of the Atlanta law firm Garland, Samuel & Loeb, negotiated a plea agreement with Howard, where the murder charges against Lewis were dismissed in exchange for his testimony against Oakley and Sweeting,[38] and his guilty plea to a misdemeanor charge of obstruction of justice.[12] Lewis admitted he gave a misleading statement to police on the morning after the killings. Superior Court Judge Alice D. Bonner sentenced Lewis to 12 months' probation, the maximum sentence for a first-time offender,[39] and he was fined $250,000 by the NFL, which was believed to be the highest fine levied against an NFL player for an infraction not involving substance abuse.[40] Under the terms of the sentence, Lewis could not use drugs or alcohol during the duration of the probation.
Oakley and Sweeting were acquitted of the charges in June 2000.[41][42] No other suspects have ever been arrested for the crime.
On April 29, 2004, Lewis reached a settlement with four-year-old India Lollar, born months after the death of her father Richard, pre-empting a scheduled civil proceeding. Lewis also reached an undisclosed settlement with Baker's family

i may not know everything... but i have figured out how to masterfully see through bullshit in this day and age... and when i say "masterfully"... it is no friggin joke!
this sentence does not lie... it tells you the TRUTH of this story, i guarantee it... with my friggin life on the line!
"The white suit Lewis was wearing the night of the killings has never been found."
i have never in my life LOST a suit... and i'm sure that suit Lewis was wearing was about a $50,000 suit... YOU DON'T JUST LOSE A SUIT!!!!
Ray Lewis was involved in the murders with a probability of 100% exactly... YOU DO NOT LOSE A SUIT!!!!
PERIOD! there is absolutely nothing more that needs to be known about this story... EVER! if you think it's POSSIBLE Lewis just lost his suit... you are a miracle of evolution, to have survived long enough to even comprehend what a murder is...

Have you ever had to deal with the cops? They are a bunch if lying sacks if shit. I don't blame Ray for covering his ass. You think he is dumb enough to commit cold blooded murder with his NFL career? And it sure is good we fought the British so we aren't found guilty on one sentence.
My job is to see through bullshit and I get paid well to do it. I wouldn't give them anything, and obstructing justice isn't murder, as most people would do for their friends. And I'm sure the men killed were the holiest of rollers. And he settled with their families effectively making them worth more dead than alive.

"You think he is dumb enough to commit cold blooded murder with his NFL career?"
Yeah... No way an NFL player would commit a crime...
Good defense. Where is PAC man jones when you need him? OJ Simpson? Rae Carruth? Lawrence Phillips? Leonard little? Dontae stallworth? Josh Brent? Jovan belcher?
They all risked their careers.
Should I keep going?

You listed three drunk drivers. That's not cold blooded murder. That's dumb ass athletes thinking they are invincible and won't get caught let alone kill someone. If your name has either team you are a homer and can shut up already.

this is the issue... right there, in black and friggin white! people accept that Ray Lewis killed those people because (a) the people were scum and (b) Ray set up the families...
darn THAT! you do not get it, dude! you do not get it! go back and start your life over, abandoning everything you believe... because however the darn you got to the point that you can make that statement... you failed along the way! and you can either go back and do it again and get it right... or you can just be another mother guy who was a liability to mankind...
your choice! but that statement you made is friggin disgusting! IT DOES NOT MAKE IT OK, NO MATTER WHAT THE friggin CIRCUMSTANCES... IT DOES NOT!
until you understand that with full conviction, you do not get the issue... in fact... someone who gets away with murder, is 1000 times worse than someone who doesn't... because the first person has sent a strong message that YOU CAN GET AWAY WITH MURDER...
killing one person kills one person... what Ray Lewis and others who GET AWAY WITH MURDER do is kill uncountable masses of human beings...
until your simple mind can wrap itself around that reality... you have no business speaking a single word on any matter that involves ethics or morality!

Thank you for proving the point of my post. These clowns never think they'll be caught.
