to beat (outscore) an offensive juggernaut let by a QB and a HC who have won super bowls?
also the subject line's subject's division only won at home this year
things are not what they seem...
before all of you put your life's savings on road chalk this weekend, please examine the other side. this is the NFL playoffs and there are some experienced vets getting home points

Respect the logic, however this is the Arizona Cardinals and until they do something beyond mediocrity, I will continue to fade them. Matt Ryan is no longer a rookie and Kurt Warner's best days are behind him and cna be a turnover machine at times. I like the Falcons chances..........
Miami at +3 at home with a veteren QB who limits turnovers to a minimum is good bet IMO.
Other leans are Indy -1 (SD is a fraud team) and Philly has the mo going.

Unless Hightower is hurt he won't carry much next week, even Arrington was getting more carries until he got almost all the work against that solid D of the Seahawks.

KOAJ, Love the note. Agree that the Cards deserve a look...the Cards strength, which is throwing the ball down the field, is ATL's weakness - pass defense. What, is Lawyer Milloy going to stop Fitz/Boldin? No chance. Over is probably the right side, but I think the home pup deserves a look.
With BAL/MIA, they've met before - and the rookie QB and rookie HC beat the Phins. Not saying they're automatically going to do it again, but the best unit on the field is the BAL D. And, since the Fins played the historically weak AFC East this year (which in turn played the weak NFC W and AFC W), we have a team, MIA, that really should be 9-7 or even 8-8. Plus the Fins are not reliable at throwing downfield which is what BAL has real trouble with (yes, I don't trust Pennington, Bess and Ginn just yet). BAL is a super bowl contender (there, I said it) and MIA is a fraud. The books are right on here.
Two distinct situations from two distinct HDs.

I absolutely luv Arizona as the home dog, there is no reason for a rookie Qb to be a rd fav in his 1st playoff game

Actually I believe he is. Michael Turner and the defense have a whole hell of a lot more to do with the turnaround than Matty Ice does.
Cardinals are a great play this weekend, especially at home. Plus, how well has the NFC South done on the road this year? The answer is 13 wins, 19 losses. Out of those 13 wins, how many were against playoff teams? 3. Carolina squeaked by the Chargers in Week 1 and the Falcons beat the Chargers and the Vikings.
Cardinals seem like the right play for me

Arizona has looked so bad the past 4 weeks. Its like they just shut down once they made the playoffs, I dont think it will be that easy for them to just turn it back on.
Also, nobody thought a rookie coach and QB could do that much to improve what was a horrible team last year. No one gave them a shot to make the playoffs. Nobody was giving them a chance to go across the country to beat San Diego. But they did all of those things.
Im not betting on the game, I dont like the fact its road chalk, but there is no way I would risk any real money on a team as sorry looking as the Cardinals. Teams that are the hottest going into the playoffs are the ones that traditionally are the most dangerous, and Arizona by far the coldest team this year to make the playoffs.

Ryan is not your average rookie QB. He will go down as one of the greats. With that said the more I look into this game the more I like AZ. I think ATL was exposed a bit last Sunday at home against a pathetic STL team

My exact thoughts KOAJ...not to mention everybody has buried Zona the last few weeks saying they won't win a playoff game and they are not playing very well...I really like Zona at home this weekend
