A lot of times in sports you hear us say "they match up better with so-so and so-so" so for example someone may say "the skins matchup better with the Eagles and have a better chance to beat them" but if they beat the Eagles and then play let us say the Bills you might hear us say "they don't match up well with the Bills" and hence why the Bills would be favored.  What does match up means.....well the Eagles might like to do something something really well and the Redskins might have the players to defend that but then the same Redskins player may not be able to defend what the Bills offensive strength is.  

So to @justliketoplay ......that's why the logic of Eagles are now favored to win the Superbowl but if Skins beat them they would be favored does not work in sports.

 Understood and we'll put thank you as several have said the lines are already set and the bettors will make the movement (the line) I feel if the bills get in the New York market will keep them as dogs and if the Chiefs win it will make them dogs as well understandably (after all they are the two time champs) and if that is the case and after all of the obstacles that Washington had to hurdle to get to the Superbowl and when they officially become the dogs.....Man will I be on the commanders because I will be convinced that they are on a mission to complete their mission and they will win the Superbowl.

If commanders make it.  No way would they be favored.  He'll they just BEAT the 1 seed and are still almost a TD Dog for the next game.

Plus given it will be Chiefs or Bills.  Not a chance Commanders would be favor over either.

But if Washington does beat the eagles and make it to the Superbowl I believe that they would be the team to beat in the Superbowl and will be at least for me my dog bet of the year.

Because they would of definitely had earned the right throughout this playoff run if they Make the Superbowl to be the favorites and though as you all have stated including the line makers they will NOT be and if you decide to load up on any team that is favored to win the Superbowl (tread carefully) with this scenario as you will most likely realize when all is said and done ...that you took the wrong side.

If Washington is in it..... they'll win it.

There is a reason for that. While Detroit was the No. 1 seed they were not the best team in the conference. Injuries decimated that defense and Washington receivers were running wide open. The Eagles defense will put up more of a fight than the Lions did.

And don't even get me started on that Commanders rush defense...

But not the lines set forth and that already have been established by the lines makers whom have made Washington the dog regardless of their performance on Sunday even if they win and advance to the Superbowl they will be the dogs but the bettors can absolutely move the line one way or the other
