BB, how many times over the years do we see lines like this begging to take A wildcard DOG on the road vs SB favorite???
Detroit badly needed that Rest week..all those injuries Again, I see this being a high scoring game as Lions DON'T take foot off the pedal insuring a HOME NFC CG. History bra'..Lions are The Very Best NFC team, especially indoors at Ford Field
We shall see

Washington has no business even being in this game. They lucked up big time vs the BUCS. 2 fluky plays cost the Bucs the game. A mishandle fumble snap that happened to Baker one other time the entire season, and then the center snapping to early on another key possession. Fuck Washington. They get fucking smashed tomorrow.
Absolutely agree with you. Jayden Daniels, great player, great guy, and Redskins are finally relevant again, but I think this Lions at home with defense almost full strength except for Hutch. I like the Lions to do what they did to Jacksonville and Tennessee earlier this season.
Detroit -30.5 @ +1200

I've never seen Lion fans so nervous about a game in which they are 10 point favorites!
More scary stats:
Detroit went 6-2 against teams that made the playoffs but only two of those wins were by seven or more points
Road teams that missed the playoffs last year are 28-14 ATS (66%) in the Divisional Round over the past 20 years. Those same teams are 40-43-1 ATS (48%) in all other rounds of the playoffs.
Divisional Round underdogs of 7-to-11 points are 12-25 straight up, winning more than one in three times with a 43% ROI on the moneyline.
Maybe Lions not the team of destiny after all... it was the Commanders all along... (cue maniacle laugh)

Why are so many excited about the Commanders? Ding Dong the witch is dead! The stench of Dan snyder is barely out of the locker room after 30 years and in one short season, the Commanders have made their best draft pick in a quarter century and find themselves 2 games away from a super bowl. For Redskins/Commander fans it's like being released from prison and finally seeing success replace decades of failure and misery. Forgive them (us) if we are overexuberant at the overabundance of success we have been having the past few weeks.
Similar to Lion's fans who earlier awakened from a deep state of losing, it's a natural reaction. And in view of the already unbelievable acheivements by Washinton, especially in the final moments of several past games, it is well within the realm of possibility to believe we can defeat the Lions tonight. We have overcome larger things already. And Hell, we only lost on the road to the Ravens by 6pts (and now we're better and getting 10). THe pressure I think is on the Lions - a loss would be disastrous to Lion fans who've already made their plans for New Orleans, while a Commanders loss, while sad, would be more accepted as the end of a great transitional year of winning and a steppingstone to the future.

I can see a coach making poor decisions in this game and costing his players a win, just like last year. Skins are not making many mistakes as of late. Score prediction:
Lions 27 Skins 33
Gambling is only a problem when your losing!

With all due respect, the Renaissance that Washington is enjoying, a team with a storied past trying to regain its former glory, is nothing in comparison to the moribund Lions who find themselves resurrected from the dead. I think the desire to fade the Lions in this spot is more about the national anxiety over a team everyone loves and has been rooting for for the past two years (yes, Lions are the highest rated TV games this year) but fears will once again find a way to lose (much like the Cubs before they won it all) and are emotionally hedging their bets by betting on the plucky Commanders.

Respect opinion, as no one can ever be wrong by having an opinion they believe… but I’m not buying the bad decision thing. Both 4th downs in last nfc championship were dropped passes, more than bad decisions. Their kicker was not anywhere near money last year. I’ll always prefer attempting to put a foot on an opponent’s throat. The dudes turned around the most sorry franchise in the nfl, but still gets questioned on decisions. There’s not one coach that’s made the right choice every time, and sometimes even making the “right” choice doesn’t work out. If anything, I’d say the Lions win because of their coach, not the other way around.
