First off, I can't believe I'm still here after reading some of the nonsense I've read these past two weeks in here. Biblical hoaxes, regurgitated stats, people disrespecting some of the most reputable cappers on here.....One can lose some serious IQ points and self-discipline of holding ones tongue reading some of the garbage in here. If I came off a covers cop, apologies but somebody needed to check those fakes, frauds and disguised bookies. I prolly took it over board but oh well. Those days are done though; it was exhausting. On to the game:
Let's start with the pats considering that seems to be what all the people are talking about in here. The aura of Brady and hoodie and the history is busting at the seams, rightfully so. People just feel that alone will will this team to victory today. Well....I'm not too sure about that. Let's talk about the offense. Their offense looks good and most importantly their line looks stout unlike last years. Even without gronk they look extremely effective and tough to beat. Well.....people I think are truly forgetting just how much of a loss gronk can be in this type of game. Bennett is good but he isn't the mismatch nightmare gronk is. Their receivers are small but they are fast. In open space they are tough. With that, I'd expect mcdaniels to spread Atlanta out and get those speedsters in open space. They will run the 3 running backs too when the safeties are high. Will they score? For sure. As for their defense, it's good but it ain't great. They are slow and in my eyes they are probably the weaker defense of all the winning team the pats have produced (case and point Shea McClellan- I'm a bears fan and he was awful). My opinion. Most notably in the linebacking core. With that being known, I'd expect the patriots to play a bend but don't break defense, zones. Their red zone defense is pretty good so I'd expect them to take some risks down there. Patricia is great soot should be fun to watch.
As for Atlanta, let's start with the offense. They have size and speed everywhere. Some have talked about 17 years ago, the pats stopping the greatest show on turf.....not sure how that translates to this type of game with different players and different rules but hey, whatever....As I stated earlier in the week, Atlanta needs to spread the pats out and go right for the throat. If they line up early and just run, that is playing into hoodie and Patricia's want. Julio SHOULD be doubled and if so, the mismatches begin. The running backs against the pats linebakers is a dangerous task. They can catch and they can run hard. Not sure the pats have seen this type approach before. With that, let's talk about Gabriel, the second most efficient receiver in the game according to dvoa stats. He had a subpar game a few weeks ago with some drops but he will keep the pats thinking on their toes. So what about Julios toe, Macks fibula, Freeman's contract, the awards being a detriment to mvps in Super Bowls, the missing shanahan playbook,.....the media has done a great job shoving this down the public's throat....let me just say it's all there for a reason......Atlanta deserves to be here and their offense will show why in my opinion. Their defense is their weakness but don't be suprised if Quinn dials up some stunts and blitzes. He'all have to get creative otherwise it will be a long nite.
Intangibles: Do we even need to talk about Brady and hoodie? They are the greatest and the motivation of cementing their legacy tonite is huge. But what about Atlanta? Disrespected all year. And Matt Ryan....he just can't buy some respect from the public. He beats Russ, he beats arod, he wins the MVP and some in here basically believe Brady and hoodie could play with a bunch of cows and still beat Atlanta. It's disrespectful and pathetic. You dont think Ryan deep down isn't ready to prove his worth tonite even though he already has? You dont think Quinn wants to beat hoodie? So many angles here.
Lastly, the money. Money is piling up on the pats -3 and ML is even. How crazy would it be if the bait this time was Brady and hoodie? All the people saying I'd rather lose my money betting on Brady than losing it not backing Brady. Thats hilarious and don't think that when the "off LINE" was set by the books they didn't know this. They always know. Goodell seems to be the hook for so many on here but I'd watch the refs tonite. I'm interested to see how clean this game is called....All the years the pats got lucky. The tuck rule, the holding of receivers particularly of colts receivers in multiple playoff games when manning was there (caused a rule change) and how can we forget the goal line pass from Russ? When will it go against the pats? Something to watch.....
My picks: This is one of the toughest bets I've had to make but usually when it's tough to hit the submit button, its a good bet. I know I'm putting myself out there with this one but I think it's Ryan's night tonite. I could be wrong but I will gladly pay to see it. In one of my few losses in this playoffs, I lost betting against the pats when they played the steelers but tonite I'm going against them. I surely dished it out this week so I'm ready for the antics after this essay.
Picks: ATLANTA FALCONS +3 (large)
ATLANTA FALCONS ML + OVER 58 (medium parlay
I've had an amazing year ( I'm not one to brag about units or profits but it's been unreal) in the NFL and it's been an honor to be in here with some great cappers and great people. Until next year, enjoy the game all.
GL ALL.
