A lot of time to think about the game. Obviously will be on the Hawks.
I can't describe the disgust I feel watching Tom Brady laugh it up on the sideline ahead 45-7 to go to the superbowl. Its a sight that makes me die alittle on the inside.
To the guy who asked if the Pats have faced a running QB. It doesn't matter. Wilson does not look to run in the playoffs. He just doesn't. Not 100% sure why. In his last 5 playoff games he has like a total of 100 yards if that.

Already have 1k on it at +200. After today, I like them even more. 6 turnovers? And they still found a way to win?! It was one of the worst games they or any team could play for 3 quarters (at least on offense). All the public sees is NE destroying an untalented Colts team. The line was Seattle -3 at halftime of the NE game (that's what the oddsmakers really think), and after the massacre it was pickem (due to public perception).

Yea man, today I was frustrated that he refused to run. Thought he would adjust in the second half and he did just enough to make a couple key plays running or fooling GB allowing Lynch to break some runs.
Looking forward to this game. Imo Seahawks are gonna eat them up. Not like last years debacle, but I think they put a hurting on NE. I really hope Sherman is okay. Didn't see any other injuries, so if Sherman can go, this is a healthy hungry team and 2 weeks to plan...I think Carroll doesn't get the respect her deserves given time to prepare.

I am so pissed at myself tho. I am in this pool with about 125-150 people. Pick all games week 1-9, then week 10 you send in picks thru the playoffs. I went into the playoffs 5th, and no one in the top 15 had the Hawks in the superbowl. If I had just followed through on my Hawks homerism, I would be on path to finish 1st and pocket a cool 1200 off of 50$ buy in. (I had Denver over GB) Funny that my good friend is in the pool (also a hawks homer) and he will win the pool if Hawks win it all. Would have been crazy to finish 1-2 out of 150. I was happy with the game today but If I was still in that pool I would have been going crazy during that Hawks game.
If you are a pool guy PM me if you are ever interested. The guy who runs the pools runs about 15 of them (nfl, baseball, golf, you name it) and all payout real nice. Very legit guy. Runs them very professionally. My favorite pool is March Madness Seed pool where you pick seeds 1-16. Those are your 16 teams for the tourney and everytime they win you get that amount of points (example 13 points everytime your 13 seed wins) Close to 1000 people get in the pool. His pools average about 100-200 people. Just baked and rambling.

Seattle defense will be too much for Brady . People need to know pats own Luck . He just can't play well there .
This super bowl will be like last years where everyone doubted Seattle offense . And Seattle defense can't stop Brady's offense . 2 weeks ago patriots had problems against the Ravens at home .
Neutral field and being in Arizona . Seattle has the advantage

Digging the Hawks more and more as the game gets closer. Pats distracted with this deflated ball NONSENSE. Sherman a full participant in practice last couple days and supposedly just a minor elbow strain.
I am a little bummed I got a bad line with Seattle PK -110 as I have seen +1 -105 and right now it's ML -102. I knew there was gonna be some overreaction with the line the way both teams won on Sunday, but it took me for a surprise when I saw my book go from Seattle -2 to PK in about 1.5 minutes when the line dropped with my local. So a little upset at myself for not getting remotely the best line, but at the same time, I believe Seattle is the superior team, and to get PK when I was expecting -3 just a few hours/days/weeks prior...I'm not totally "unhappy."
I see a player prop I like(two of them regarding same player actually), but I don't like the juice so I'm gonna sit on them until it moves or possibly if I can sell .5 reception or a couple yards to get in the plus if that option is available closer to gameday.
TE Willson for the Seahawks. I'm thinking OVER 2.5 receptions and OVER 27.5 yards.
The Pats with Revis and Browner should be to control the outside with their two good corners. At the same time, I think Russell is gonna be a little more aggressive early in the game(compared to GB game)running the ball with his read option. I don't think New England is gonna get torched like a lot of teams do once Lynch starts to wear teams down and then Wilson starts to gash you, but I do think they will have to have a LB or two to tail Wilson(I'm thinking Nincovich) to keep him in check.
In that case, the outside will be locked down fairly well(I do think Browner can be exploited in situations where Wilson extends a play and guys like Kearse or Baldwin can lose him down the field), but overall I do think the outside will be covered well especially if McCourty can play a smart game and use his speed to be where's he's supposed to be.
Anyway, with the outside covered, and one or possibly two NE LBs watching Wilson, I believe the middle of the field can be exploited if Russell is on his game. Whether it's a lightning quick, PA to Lynch, crafty ball fake as a runner, and then a quick seam route to Luke Willson 15 yards down the field, or a quick slant, or a 3rd and short sit down in a zone 5 yard pass, or even safety valve checkdowns to the big guy, I think Willson has a really nice day overall. And even if it's a game where I'm pulling my hair out because Luke is being ignored and he doesn't have a catch through 3 quarters....he's the kind of guy who can find a hole in the defense in the case Wilson extends a play out of the pocket and he's good for a 15 yard catch and then 20 yard YAC....getting the yards prop in one shot. I think he has a 7 catch 80 yard day easily though IMO.
Anyone have thoughts on those? Anyone see any props that can exploited with bad lines? Like I said, one juice I think is -130 and fhe other is -115, and I'm not getting juiced to death on props, but I'll gladly take over 3 catches at +115 and over 30 yards at +110 if they become available.

Hey earth, just seeing this post now. Yea man, that would be nuts if you and your boy rode the Hawks to 1-2 out of 150 guys. But if I read the pool right, after week 9, the Hawks IIRC were only 5-4 or 5-3 with a few tough games on deck. Who would have thought SF would collapse like they did, or two games against Zona with no Palmer? I probably would have done the same in your shoes.
Yea, I'm into pools, but it depends what the setup is. Like I like the Covers contests, but I'll be trucking along early in the year hitting at 57% and up 5,000 units and 177 out 10,000. But then I see it's filled with guys that take all 16 sides and totals and guys have that wacky 28-4 kind of day and suddenly are up 20,000 units....and I panic and before I know it, I'm taking all 16 games a week and 10 of them I barely capped as I'm someone who knows by Tuesday who I'm interested in, and the games I'm not betting, I kind of ignore.
But March madness....I don't follow college hoops, but I'll crack study in early March just to have a vague idea of whose who and March madness is always fun. I like Hilton style pools where you pick 5 games and getting a good line is part of the equation(losing on 2-3 games an entire season because of getting a bad line....that's enough to drop from 40th to 200th and not cashing, so I dig that extra piece of strategy. Love bowl pools. It's funny how I was bragging that in the last decade, I never wound up in the minus in bowl games, and that with NFL playoffs always give me that final late season boost.....and LOL, I got slaughtered this year in bowl games. I was in SHOCK that I started 0-9 in bowls. Then I went on a 13-4 run mid bowls to get to .500 on the bowls.....and Baylor blowing that 34-14 lead was the nail in my coffin. Lost all 3 nat champ games to wind up down. I deserved it though talking trash!!!
But yea man, stay in touch and ill join your boys MM pool. Sounds like fun. Also, I want to thank you for popping in my threads all year. I appreciate all the insught you brought. You and about a dozen regulars all help me GREATLY when I have intelligent guys to riff with all week long. I wasn't able to do WRITEUPS like I normally have done in the past(was hit or miss on limited time), but I think I brought just enough to the table, where guys like you and the other regulars picked up the slack and it was a fairly informative thread of good info. Much appreciated, Earth, as well as the other regulars(I don't want to ring off names for fear of missing someone but you guys know who u are).
