Got a weird feeling for tonight. I think the Pats care more about beating the Jets next week than the Colts for the third or fourth straight time. Looks like Pats but could be a backdoor cover.

You're an idiot. 'Fading the public' and following imaginary sharps on 'line movement' is a long-term 50% capping strategy -- because you're making decisions on something that doesn't actually exist.
Don't tell someone who actually handicaps the game of football that they need to learn how to factor in non-existent elements.
I guarantee you've never tracked your public/sharp RLM results over the course of one or more seasons, because if you'd had you'd have discovered the 100% reliable ZERO effect it has on any long-term records.
Watching RLM movement and fading who you think 'the public' is on is the same as factoring in which star signs are in orbit on the night of your bets.
You're dead wrong bud.
The public of course does exist. Talk to any sportsbook manager and he will tell you it does (something you've clearly never done.)
And lines most certainly move off of sharp money.
Again, this is well documented in the sportsbooking world.
Now, to your larger point of FOLLOWING these things to make money?
Well, do such a thing over the long-term and it is a 50/50 proposition. Capping just can't be reduced to these things. I like to use them just as icing on the cake for my picks already capped.
But you can do some line reading (which works) and find out and access reliable sources where money came from.
You don't have any experience with this so I understand your why you are saying what saying.
Suuma.....a PRISTINE week of picks and I think you are well on your way to a 6-0 after MNF.

No disrespect but there's NO WAY that could possibly be true lol

Thanks buddy. I just opened a site that shows consensus numbers and faded the public

Suuma, I have talked directly to sportsbook managers and there is a public side and a sharp side and I can assure you they know which side is which.
There are also sites and podcasts you can listen to to find the sharp and public sides (and you have every right to choose not to believe them).
And there is also line movement based on sharp money and public money and it happens with certainty almost every week.
I'm not saying side with the sharps or fade the public. I've capped games and regardless of what sharps/public do, I am confident in my pick and have hit many picks with a public side.
Using sharp/public line movement to pick other games you haven't capped aggresssively is a tried and true shortcut that is used endlessly by people who know how to do it.
Great week! Philly tonight!!!

I agree there is a public and sharp side. Though how does Vegas determine the sharps? Guys like Teddy Covers, Steve Fezzik are big names but how do you know the other sharps unless they happen to know certain cappers are good. Any guy can be a sharp if they are good but does Vegas know most of them?

Yes, I went 4-1 without tailing you but with your assistance.
Your research supported my NE-IND thesis and helped me overcome my reluctance to back Luck. Your astute observation that QB coach McConnell would elevate McCown's game helped me take CLV +4. I am glad you got the push at DEN -3.
Thanks.

When you are hitting max wagers at books and collecting the max, the books immediately know who you are. They even get to know their runners as well.
