Tampa Bay at New Orleans...EVERYBODY post their opinion

Yes, New Orleans has beaten Tampa Bay twice.   Here is my story.   Best team in NHL(Tbay) won the Cup, KC won the SBowl, Best team(LaLakers) won the NBA title.   In BookieAssassins thread, I spoke of the similarities between Bill Belichek and Nick Saban.   Each had a 2-2 su streak accompanied by a 0-4 ats streak at one point in the Sbowl and NCAAF championship.   The Patriots stopped that streak with their win with the last second interception against Seattle, Alabama stopped the streak last night.   Tampa Bay made the NHL final and won.    The Miami Heat made the NBA final.   The TB Rays made the MLB final.    If the shoe is going to fit "cinderella" Drew Brees or Tom Brady, I will go with TB12. 

If Brees starts, I see a win for Tompa Bay...the Bucs are firing on all cylinders now. 

The two teams won finals. Rays came in second.

The fact Tampa made playoffs may simply be THEIR  cut off point. Teams that host SB don't go.

Who ever wins this game, won't win conf championship.

And yet no one is suspicious of the Florida success this year..and that's sad lol. 

I did a writeup and got no love at all. That´s how it works here hehe, so I will recap and hopefully make you money.

Brady will win. Way too many weapons. If Lattimore rules Evans out, he still has Godwin, AB and Gronk. Two good but not great RBs. 

Tampa also poses an ideal matchup to slow the Saints rushing attack. The Saints depend on their run to be working, because without its uncertainty and the possibility of play-action, it is easy to defend against the ultimate Noodle Arm. 

And yes, the Saints destroyed Brady before. Brady threw 5 interceptions in those 2 games. Brady is a different animal in the postseason. Yes, Brees is Brees, just as Peyton was Peyton... two of the greatest ever, in the Regular Season. When the weather gets cold and all games are death row, TB12 will always be TB12 and that mentality is passed to his team.

 Florida success? The Dolphins failed miserably at the end of the season. Jaxonville had another horrendous season. Tampa had a team that shouldve won the NFC on paper. Rather than a success, Florida was a disappointment this year

Dude, you're trying too hard. Three teams from three pro sports made the finals .And California played Florida in 2 of them. That's beyond ridiculous luck. That's planned 

So you know what? I'll agree that LA vs TB is the conference championship

I have the Saints in this game. I think the Saints front four can pressure Brady early and often, they have a great secondary to matchup with these Tampa receivers, and I think Brady will have to have the game of his life to win. Trey Hendrickson was an absolute game wrecker when these two teams faced, he is now back and ready to roll. 

Where this game will be won is the Saints offense vs the Bucs defense. Todd Bowles loves to blitz, but Drew Brees is one of the best quarterbacks vs the blitz. The Saints O-line is phenomenal and is the perfect counter for the Bucs pass rush. Quick checkdown options with Kamara and Harris, not to mention MT also can create quick separation off the line. The Bucs struggle to play zone coverage and zone is something Brees shreds. If these Bucs corners aren’t in press man early, the Saints will drop 30+. 

Fun fact: Brees is undefeated vs Todd Bowles and the Saints offense puts up an average of over 30 PPG. Even dating back to Bowles days vs the Jets and Cardinals are included. 

I don’t like buying into narratives about how hard it is beating a team 3 times, Brady wants revenge, etc....

 All these matchup edges you point out, yet saints beat them twice, and destroyed them in tampa, when tampa was red hot.   Tb12 is good in the cold?  Game is in the dome, doesn't apply.  Tb12 has been mediocre on the road in the playoffs. 5-4 record.  just failed to cover vs wash and an unknown qb lit them up.  No reason brees can't as well.

 There isn’t any true matchup edges for Tampa.

It’s just narratives driven by the media and people. New Orleans wins the LOS, better secondary, better coaching. People are just banking on Brady winning because of prior postseason success. I just think that’s a losing proposition. 

Any thoughts on the total points...52 is the over in the UK..???

 I actually like the under. New Orleans plays a dink and dunk offense, and they aim to control time of possession. They also have a very good defense. Last matchup they held a 40 minute to 20 minute edge over Tampa. They will look to do the same this time. 

With all the information above you also have to add Tom Brady is healthier than Brees has a better arm than brees and to add to that..mentally he wants to prove the “who needs who” Brady Belicheck..storyline..he’s got a chip on his shoulder and he’s on a mission..Ego and experience are pushing him ahead in my opinion..

Brees honestly looks terrible in my opinion I think that rib injury was the icing after the shoulder hit.. doesn’t look the same..even surrounded by all the weapons and the Buccaneers seem to be clicking at the right time.. 

although Saints have a great dline (Jordan) Buccaneers will do the same thing they did with Washington and there dline and probably review some of the Bears film..Saints were kind of exposed..

Saints will win. It’s a LOCK

I agree. People are betting on Brady instead of Tampa. Washington gave them a game with no WRs and a 3rd string QB just off the PS. 

Saints have the Bucs number. Brady isn't winning. The Saints are especially since its Brees last year. 

Saints winning it all, and will cover this game. I will not be betting on them since I have futures tickets at +1550 +1100 and +750

 I got the Saints too! TB should have killed Washington if they were any good. Lady Brady will have a bad day.

Also I would not be surprised at all if Brees struggles and coach rolls with Taysom Hill. Hill is tailor made to pick apart the Bucs defense.

Over 51.5  I think both teams can put up points. Maybe a 35-24 game. Brady usually gets hot in the 2nd half. BOL on your picks!
