This will be short and sweet. I'm one for write-ups but you don't have to think too much about this one.
What was the team most people were afraid to pick in week one? The Jets. The result? They won.
What is the team most people are afraid to pick in week 2? The Giants.
The will cover here folks if not win outright.
I've lived in the tri-state area my whole life. i know the Giants as good or better than anyone here. There is one rule you follow when it comes to betting the Giants. It is this:
YOU DO NO LAY POINTS TO THE GAINTS AT HOME!
Why? I only went back 11 games but the trend is clear and it is the only one you need to bet this game:
The Giants are 8-2-1 ATS as home dogs in their last 11.
That is this QB, this coach, and this franchise. Yeah they have RB problems and despite that, they had SIX turnovers last week and had the ball to win the game with just under two minutes. Their D will improve and their offense was very good save the turnovers.
Tom Coughlin was ready to blow a gasket at the Dallas post game press conference. He is a taskmaster. The Giants will pay in practice this week and be ready for the Broncos. They will limit their turnovers and show they are a playoff team this week, against the league's premiere franchise.
Let Manning's 7 TD's inflate this line. He won't be throwing for 7 TD's this week. Not even close...
+4.5? Book it and get paid on Sunday. It's a no brainer.
The pick:
GIANTS +4.5 over Broncos

Not trying to through a negative spin on this one, but until I see the Gmen have a valid running back/game and can tighten up on Defence (play/injuries), I would stay clear of this

Snoozed on the line as one minute monday it is 6, next minute its 4, so im waiting for it to trickle back up closer to kickoff. Worst case scenario, I hit them at 3.5, but no lower.

I'm on them.

I believe this line is where it is not because of what happened last week to either team, but because of the injuries to the Giants back 7. You should be very very concerned about this matchup if you're backing the Giants. As I just wrote elsewhere..
The Giants 28th ranked pass D from last year has a lot of problems
already. Of their top 3 safeties, Stevie Brown is gone for the year
with an ACL from preseaon, Will Hill is suspended til game 5 for
substance abuse, and Antrel Rolle is questionable with a groin.
Starting CB Prince Amakamura has yet to look like a 1st round pick, and
he's questionable with a concussion, leaving only Corey Webster as the
lone legit healthy starter.
On top of this the Giants just lost
their starting MLB Dan Connor last week for the season. Now they start
undrafted free agent from 2011 Mark Herzlich.
Denver appears to
be the best pass offense in the league this season, with 3 pro bowl
level WRs and 1st week break-out TE Julius Thomas.
I don't see how anyone can bet on the Giants this week.
