Sorry, buddy but last time I looked: The "better" team indeed (see final score), with the "better" seed (#1), and the better regular season record record (13-3 vs 12-4) did win the game. No hard feelings.
And one final note: When I think of bad "officiating" in this game, the two plays that come to mind are the (1) roughing the passer call on Favre, when the defender already had him in grasp as ball was released, and moreover (2) the obvious missed TD of Reggie Bush by the referee standing 2' from the play.

The referees did everything in their power to make the Vikings win. The personal foul and pass interference calls were atrocious. The Vikings turn the ball over 5 times and it goes to overtime? Truth is that the Saints are the best team in the NFC and deserve to go. Bottom line.
DID you see overtime??? talk about bad calls...

who cares about seeds and records, that why they play the games....your talking about calls in the 3rd qtr dont forget shot to farve below knees wasnt called..but dont get me started about roughin the passer rules becuase it is basically up to the discretion of the ref ...but you wanna talk about bad calls, then consider overtime....

question ... when was the last time a nfl team fumbled 6 times in a game???
the wrong team, had more yards, rushing and passing with more time of possession but the #1 seeded team got every call in over time and break in the game

lol @ the right team winning this game
the team was lucky to win the game ...

i think you might be onto something... it's one thing for a team to get all the breaks and bounces, but this game was way out of control... this Saints team is such a farse, but somehow teams just give them the game... i mean, it isn't like those fumbles were from big hits... most of them nobody hit them at all...
what the fuck was up with that game? Vikings outplayed them that badly and lost? that just didn't seem remotely legit to me...

and you're not biased??? ok...
if these are the two worst calls you saw, then you clearly see the game through Saints-colored glasses...
the most glaringly bad calls in the game were...
the TD given to Pierre Thomas with the ref on the near sideline looking directly at the play with a clear view... knee was very obviously down with the ball a full yard and a half short of the goalline!
the non-call on the low hit to Favre
the PI call on an uncatchable ball
the failure to overturn the 4th down play in OT when the runner lost control of the ball... a fumble negates forward progress and means you have to respot the ball... glaring error by the refs...
your two examples barely make the radar, and no this is not based on bias... i know how to watch a game... these are 4 shockingly bad mistakes, and one of them they even had a chance to review, and was critical to the outcome in OT...

The Saints played down to the competition today! They should have blow out the Vikes after Bush last TD but they did not. Nevertheless, the better team won. The final score is the proof.

Not one single honest Saints fan in the bunch. Sad it really is sad seeing you people look a gift horse in the mouth. Hell I am not even a Vikings fan and I am getting worked up for this. I would respect a Saints fan who would simply say we GOT REALLY LUCKY but all you fans keep thinking that the better team won or you can justify that Saints were playing down. LOL!
I have nothing against the Saints but I put a BIG bet on the Big Head -3 (bought 0.5) right when the lines were released for 50 units (my biggest play of the season... Superbowl Sunday is always my biggest play) and I will enjoy you Saints fans coming back here crying in two weeks. I will really enjoy it.

Harvin gets a brush on the arm, Peterson's that he recovered on his own, the Favre/Peterson exchange, the Berrians (was poked at but, just sit down)...etc...none of these were decent fumble forcing hits.
It's like saying that the Brees exchange was all Kevin Williams.

Have you ever played football? If you don't hold it tight, a team that practices causing fumbles will knock it out. Except for the Peterson bad exchange, ALL the fumbles were CAUSED by Saints defenders. They practice it and have been doing it all year.
Don't forget Greer dropped and easy INT on Favre. IMO, if not for the drive sustaining 3rd down penalties, the Saints win this in regulation.
What happened to Minnesota's great D? Favre got hit all game, yet Brees was barely touched.
The better team won. Stop making lame excuses.

The Saints ran 40 plays in 4 quarters....how many times can Brees get hit? The Vikings ran more passes than the Saints did total plays. Sacks were 1-0 Vikings. Do people watch the games or just post made up crap?
Clearly the Saints had a plan to hit Favre and make the refs throw flags. The refs didn't early and if they did it probably changes the game.
One statistical categoy the Saints dominated was punts.

Did you see how fucked up Favre was after the game? Sacks don't tell the whole story, because the "sack" on Brees was really just a fumble. Favre also should have taken at least 3 sacks but threw the ball anyway. One ended up being a pick.
Secondly, the turnovers determined that the Saints either had poor field position, or didn't have to go far to score.
You are a clear homer with these excuses. They moved the ball on the Vikings when they needed to and kept Brees clean. Favre entire face is still red.

So on 3rd down the Saints don't need to move the ball? 3 of 12 on third down.
