Again you called it after the fact - great job Nostradamus. But when you did post your fix before the game you got hosed 0-5. (but I commend you for doing it - posting before is noble, not many have the stones to do so)
I asked a few times this NFL season to pick a game, post the script (even just post the winner of the spread saying there is a script - no need for a 1st qtr, 2nd quarter, "there will be a comeback, come down to the wire on the last drive" I asked for none of that - just post the winner of the game and/or ATS).
Two of you scripters took the challenge and and went 1-3 - the one win being a ML fav. One of you went so far as to be totally adamant as to why the Bears would win (bigger market, it's what the league wants), you went on a big rant to back up the script and conspiracy and went silent after the Eagles knocked them out.
Face it - none of you can post before the game. It's always after the game, "didja see this? Didja see that?!"
Yes we saw it, we see it in highschool football games, we see it in Austin Peay vs Murray state and it's in Football leagues in 3rd world countries - just about all of the above there is no real wagering. Yet there are THE EXACT SAME PHENOMENON: BAD BOUNCES, BLOWN CALLS BY THE REFS, STOOPID CALLS BY THE COACHES AND WHAT APPEARS TO BE OUTRIGHT TYRANY TO THROW A GAME by the player themselves, missed tackles, hitting the uprights, unbelievable feats and catches - surely no athlete in highschool can make a one handed catch!
But they do and everything you cite more or less happens in every game on the planet.
I believe that the billion $ industry does not need the scripts and fixes to remain a billion dollar industry - that by doing so you are risking a billion dollars if the "secret" gets out and the entire NFL gets relegated to WWF status. There is no need to totally fix it as Vegas and the NFL are cash cows without having to pull shenanigans. How many MNF, TNF and SNF games are total snoozefests, low scoring boring crapfests? We had crap playoff games this season. Why were those so poorly scripted? Make all of them even a bit competitive, no? If it's all scripted why are there limits in Vegas? Sportsbook profits are not really that great all things considered.
no - it's not necessary. Not worth the risk to lose it all.
I believe in the rogue Donogheys or that the NBA leans towards not allowing the big key players to foul out, so I believe Donoghey. But if Steph Curry is going to blatantly hack the crap out of anyone near him he's going to foul out.
In the mid to late 1980s Serbny Sports hosted by Gerry Srbny, before the internet, would pick NBA games, sides, not totals, and totally crushed it - based solely on what he thought were corrupt refs. One in particular and if I saw the names of the NBA ref rosters in the last 80s I could pick out the name- every game that this guy ref'd Serbny was on the right side of the game.
I believe the NBA and NFL prefer certain teams for monetary reason and if the refs can call a phanthom hold or IF a call could go either way that on the field err on the side of the preferred team.
Can anyone say that the NFL really wanted LAR vs NE(for the millionth time) rather than KC vs NO? The NFL would MUCH RATHER have had Mahaomes vs Brees in a high scoring exciting match up.
