And Books don't like to bet, at all- They want 50/50 even if the book manager or whomever your talking about thinks one team will cover for sure. He's not a gambler, he manages the book and they don't want to be exposed to any risk at all, and its their business not to be. If he keeps risking the books money by not moving the lines accordingly, he gets fired
Black, you appear to be a seasoned gambler but you are perpetuating one of the biggest myths in all of sports betting. And this myth has been there since the beginning of betting time.
Getting 50/50 action is impossible. Just like getting 5,000 heads when flipping a coin 10,000 is so improbable, you may as well call it near impossible.
And it is for that reason that books want to be on the 'right' side, that is the side with more heads than tails per se.
That side is typically a dog. Squares love favorites.
Even the guys here, including Suuma himself, typically bet more dogs than favorites precisely because of this reason, even if they consciously believe squares and sharps do not exist (as you don't!).
Subconsciously their betting pattern leans dog because that is Vegas' side.
That is why the majority of cappers post dogs for the majority of their picks.
They want to be on the 'sharp' side (and yes it has been publicly verified by line setters that they move lines with sharp money whether you believe that or not, and most here don't because they just refuse to allow such a 'wild' theory to enter their capping universe).
And if you don't believe any of that (and I can assure you even before you answer) you don't, then I can't help ya!
That isn't to say I haven't capped hundreds of games without even checking consensus or line movement! But to completely dismiss it like its a rainbow unicorn laying ostrich eggs??? Please. This is the real world. These betting principals and tools have been verified many times over publicly whether good cappers here like to believe it or not.
