I’ve become a Jordan fan when I wanted to see him lose. I gravitated to Penny Hardaway and Shaq with the magic because I wanted to see the bulls lose. I was always rooting for the other team when the bulls were on the finals. Yea I was a hater but I ended being a Jordan fan because I watched him almost every game.
This is gonna be the same narrative with Tom Brady. A lot of people say fuk Tom Brady and again I’m seeing the favored stacked team to beat one of the most hated superstars today. When the mighty warriors faced the underdog Lebron they shocked the warriors. I’m seeing the same situation here...a bunch of haters paying or backing the chiefs to see Brady lose. There’s gonna be a lot of salty people when bucs win.

wowsers,i cant believe anybody could watch that guy and NOT be a fan...dude was so spectacular and mesmerising and compelling, you just couldnt take your eyes off him.almost every game there was a jaw-dropping highlight play....i see allegiance to teams/locations being a factor for americans but jordan just defies all that shi.t for me.never seen anything like him in any sport as far as aesthetic, majestic, novel brilliance in his prime athletic years.
i dont follow gridiron much at all and dont have a strong feel as to who wins the superbowl but just one small anecdote that might parallel the game and how people on this forum might see it-all last week i saw soooooo many people slobbering all over rodgers, saying how it was his time and there was no way he was gonna let this chance slip by and to load up BIG on the packers-barrelledin and carguy and many others were practically sucking the guy off (metaphorically speaking).
and now i see alot of the same stuff about mahomes, treating him like an absolute go.d and saying how he is different and its time for the new guard etc etc...and how youre a "moron" if you cant see that chiefs are the play.
of course we all know how it normally turns when the result doesnt go that way.all those people disappear into the shadows of course....until the next year rolls around and they make the same wild proclamations about their heroes once again.

Same people doubling down on chiefs when they lost with Rodgers because they hate Brady. I’m just glad I was to young to fade Jordan when I was 12 years old

So any reasons in particular why you like the Bucs? The adjustments that Reid makes to cover the Oline injuries won't work?
I see that Reid keeps saying that Mitchell Schwartz won't make it for the game and yet he won't rule him out. He hasn't played since October and I have a suspicion that he might be a last minute starter for KC...just a hunch.

You act like Brady has been the catalyst and carrying this Bucs team during this post season run
Brady did everything he can to give away the GB game. Back to back to back possession interceptions (3 total) and 6-14 In the second half. He’s been pedestrian in the playoffs. This isn’t the Pats Brady of the past.

I never really got this venomous anti-Brady sentiment out there. For full disclosure, I'm a life long Pats fan - over 50 years, so of course I've been rooting for Brady and I still do. If you think about it from a fan - not gambling standpoint - which many of us here are also fans, Brady is on that vibe. He took less money throughout his career just so they could build a better team around him. He has stayed humble through it all, doesn't show boat and always supports his teammates to the hilt. Sure, the lifestyle, the wife and the woo woo stuff can get annoying, but them is small potatoes. I think the sports scene would be better off if we had more athletes like this guy. So, to you people who hate the guy please try and lighten up. It would do you good. Sadly, our society is gripped by Hate-fever. No need to add to it.
GL & have a great day!
I do believe I've had enough

I have followed and Loved Brady most of his career, you see, I am a Patriots fan, have been forever and a day ... Also Love the Red Sox immensely and the Celtics ... My selection in the SB has got completely and utterly NOTHING to do with hating Brady ... Its got to do with the FACT that TB have been extremely lucky getting as far as they have ... Its got to do with the FACT that the KC side, is in every way, all over the ground, a much more professional, classy and skilful outfit than TB ... And its got to do with the FACT that Mahomes owns the sport, owns the fields and owns the outcomes of more games he plays in than not ... Simple as that ... So ... With all due respect Sir, fry some chips, put your salt on them and enjoy the game ... The game that KC are going to win !!! Cheers and BOL

Some great points in this thread by you guys pointing out that it has nothing to do with Brady “hate”. I’m sure there are those out there betting KC for this reason but those people are very few. Personally it’s been great to see what Tommy has done this year with that team after leaving the Evil Empire. I’ve been rooting for him all along but don’t get me wrong, if he were still with NE he and Bill would still be the most hated team in the league. This is a great SB matchup we are getting and there are many reasons, trends, angles to be taking any team. The “real” backers in this forum of either team will show back up next Monday win or lose, whichever side they (us) might have been on
Thank you America

Kobe was nuts in his prime, his prime just didn't last very long because of bad knees. Agreed though I don't understand how some people can hate on Jordan, and they do. He was on his own level.
Anyway, 7/10 Super Bowl victories doesn't seem right. Can you see that? "Tom Brady wins his 7th of 10 Super Bowls" That's a wild, nutty statistic. He beat out Brees this year when it counted, he beat out Rodgers albeit help from defense in those games. Now he's going to beat Mahomes too and go 7/10 in the SB? That's wild. That's wild, just think about it. That's wild as fuck. He plans to come back and play next year as well for a potential 11th SB? Something will give. Who agrees

agree that kobe was amazing..(goes without saying, all these guys at that super-duper elite level are),but he was in the end just a weaker facsimile of jordan,a DAMN GOOD one,but still a copy.and he did fall short in almost every category except for long range shooting.and i actually believe he loved the game more and worked a wee bit harder than jordan but still came up a bit short by comparison...but yeah its splitting hairs and he was incredible by any metric of course.
this thread actually makes me ponder the notion of "haters",my very strong perception is that there were waaaaay less of them % wise back in the days of jordan/montana/gretzky etc. and prior, but i just wonder if thats the case or if its just the fact that in this modern age they have a voice to be heard and the light is shined upon them so it is just being brought to our attention as THEY try and get the attention they desperately need by getting that tiny bit of "fame" by association or by going against the popular narrative grain.of course there are ALWAYS gonna be some folk that are contrarian for whatever reason but someone like jordan was for the most part universally loved and marvelled at by most of the public i feel.
i realise that this thread isnt saying that the 2 situations are identical by any means, but just as an aside we should remember that jordan during his run was always the BEST player on the BEST team in each finals and was the bookies favourite in all,PLUS he is in a sport with only 5 guys on the court where one guy can have a huuuuuge impact as opposed to football where ya depend on so many others to get the result and also best of 7 series gives you a far greater margin for error than a one game knockout scenario...so just need to point that out in the context of those thinking that its dangerous to bet against brady for any reason,"hate" or otherwise.his fate is very much in the hands of dozens of other guys and in what the opponent does morseo than what jordans was.
as a non gridiron person though i must say it is absolutely fukcing mind-boggling that he is going to 10 superbowls in his career.i know about the parity in this league and how long the average career is and how tough it is for teams to maintain a "prime" and what brady/patriots did for such an extended period does seem almost fictional....never say never, but getting to 10 superbowls and winning 6 (or 7) feels like one of those records that may never be broken....though i guess with players careers being extended much longer in modern sports and the game being a bit softer in some ways there might be a chance?

The support for the Chiefs has zero to do with hating on Brady IMO...I guess I can only speak for myself but millions of others see the play of the KC QB to be something other worldly.
I bet the Bucs last week because I thought that the Packers would be a one dimensional team on offense, whose D was soft like cotton candy. Turnovers and a blown coverage did GB in.
Brady and Jordan were both promoted in the media by the corporatist Overlords to be more than what they were. Refs' calls enhanced both of their careers as they both were the corporate face of their respective sports and therefore protected and promoted on the field of play. How many steps did Jordan take to the basket...anyone ever count them? Also, if a defender as much as touched Jordan the refs blew the whistle...ticky tack fouls on him all game...take your rose colored Jordan glasses off sometime and watch a replay.
In basketball, I much preferred the play of Magic and Bird because they elevated the play of all of those around them but if we are talking about pure, individual talent there was none finer than Pistol Pete...who was surrounded with lousy team mates. Red Auerbach and Isiah Thomas both said that Maravich was the best ball handler they ever saw and Magic openly admits he studied Pete's no look passes and implemented them in his game. Bird copied Maravich also but to my knowledge has never admitted it...Pete entertained the crowd and he would have been appreciated more if he had a team around him.
Connie Hawkins was another tremendous talent and ball handler whose career was stymied early on by some gambling scandal that was never proven in court to be true. Chick Hearn said the greatest play he ever saw was Hawkins with his back to the basket jumping up and spinning around to the basket over Wilt and dunking the ball over him.
IMO hatred of Brady isn't much of a betting motivator for this game. Nope, I don't buy it.

You are clearly either an idiot or a MJ hater if you think Bird, Magic or Pistol Pete were better than MJ. I'm not trying to be rude but it's the truth.
You made some good points but if you hate MJ because he beat up on your favorite bball team recognize your bias and try to not let your emotions get the best of you when you compare him to other greats. It makes you look like a guy who knows nothing about basketball.

What are basing it on? Simply watching your tv and watching a guy score? He was right in that , there was too much money behind him to not make him look good. No one man can go to that many championships as they age, unless the league manipulates it. It's true if all sports.
I fmdont know that Magic was better than anyone. They were all simply chosen to be the images they portraid. Magic never caught aids either.

..bingo...it is valid to say that jordan was heavily pushed and promoted as the undisputed face and saviour of the league, but thats BECAUSE he was fukcing incredible and a blind man could see that.he would have been the greatest ever even without that extra support and protection, anyone that cant see how amazing he was as a player has to have something wrong with them surely.and EVERY superstar in the nba gets that same treatment so its no special circumstance pertaining to jordan only.
and as for magic and bird??shi.t,they are BOTH ON RECORD as calling jordan the better plays so its damn hard to make a case for it being the other way around......yes there is alot of hero/icon/idol worship around jordan, but he undoubtedly had the substance to justify it and the results and personal accolades.

Yet if Bird's Celtics and Magic's Lakers in their teams' primes played the best of Jordan's Bulls team, there is no doubt in my mind that Jordan's team would have lost. Their talent level overall didn't match that of the Celts or the Lakers...ever.
The Celtics and Lakers didn't depend on the play of one man as much as the Bulls did. Both Boston and LA had much better starters and better benches.
As I wrote in the original post on this subject, I prefer the play of Magic and Bird because they elevated the play of all of those around them...after all it is a team sport. Jordan in his third year played the Celtics in the playoffs and despite scoring over 60 points in the second game, the Bulls still lost and were swept in 3...now that wasn't the best Bulls' team in '86.
As the Bulls added more talent then they became a dominant team in their era...without question. Of course if you want to crown them then so be it...break out the anointing oil.

Lol are Chic-Cardinals & Lancer the same person? Beginning to think so. Everything is either extremely negative or just about the most moronic ignorant comment one could ever make. As someone above me wrote .... even a blind man could see that MJ was the greatest . And we now live in a league full of soft prima Donnas. Totally different generation and incomparable but Jordan was the best of his by a mile. And it wasn't even close.
Preach baby preach, I love to read such comments as I know that I live rent free in your tiny, little mind. I must have really chapped your a$$ at some point in time. So be it...
