Lol are Chic-Cardinals & Lancer the same person? Beginning to think so. Everything is either extremely negative or just about the most moronic ignorant comment one could ever make. As someone above me wrote .... even a blind man could see that MJ was the greatest . And we now live in a league full of soft prima Donnas. Totally different generation and incomparable but Jordan was the best of his by a mile. And it wasn't even close.
Lots of insults with no ability to prove me wrong, other than saying you saw a guy shoot baskets on tv. He was a good jock but no man....no man can go to 6 finals and win all 6, unless the league allows it to happen.
That's how reality works

There’s seems to be arguments between chic-cardinals and Lancer paired up & asmith and Melossinglet, carefully read all four comments throughout this thread.
And if anyone determines the intelligence & the more sensible comments of each paired up in a contest who would come out on top as the winners ...... do the math?

It all comes down to who's hungrier for the win. Cheifs just did it last year and figure it will be routine again, but Bucs wants it more!
This forum... " Browns are the more hungry team, they want it more"....."Bills are the hungrier team, KC was there last year, Bills will win they want it more"
For the 3rd time now...... Buccs may win the SB but it won't have anything to do with "being the hungrier team" or "wanting it more"

Yet if Bird's Celtics and Magic's Lakers in their teams' primes played the best of Jordan's Bulls team, there is no doubt in my mind that Jordan's team would have lost. Their talent level overall didn't match that of the Celts or the Lakers...ever. The Celtics and Lakers didn't depend on the play of one man as much as the Bulls did. Both Boston and LA had much better starters and better benches. As I wrote in the original post on this subject, I prefer the play of Magic and Bird because they elevated the play of all of those around them...after all it is a team sport. Jordan in his third year played the Celtics in the playoffs and despite scoring over 60 points in the second game, the Bulls still lost and were swept in 3...now that wasn't the best Bulls' team in '86. As the Bulls added more talent then they became a dominant team in their era...without question. Of course if you want to crown them then so be it...break out the anointing oil.
yep,YOU said it yourself...if bird/magic had a BETTER team around them than jordan of course they would have a good chance of beating him...d'uh..kinda obvious aint it??thats what alot of american fans and media heads cant quite seem to grasp, its a goddamned TEAM SPORT and no matter how amazing a player is or how much influence he has over a team he aint winning against a stacked superior squad that is 5 deep with all-stars..ie. lebron vs durant warriors......but all these idiots wanna talk about is "oh,he couldnt carry them bla bla bla".
but regardless, the 96 and 97 bulls would have DEFINITELY given any magic/bird team a run for their money and would probably be favourites..most basketball people have the 96 bulls as one of the 2 best teams in history so yeah..

Lol at making stuff up and speculating.
Intelligent, critical thinking common sense knows there's no way in hell a jock can go to 6 finals ,twice 3 in a row, with a lay off in between, unless it's scripted. That's far too many variables to over come.
You simply turn on your tv and believe in fantasy

I in fact just proved it to you. It's impossible to carry that out without manipulation. That's the proof. All you're saying is , it happened because I saw it on tv.

"Comparisons are odious," a wise man once said. All the comparisons you make will have nothing to do with what happens next Sunday. What Brady did in the past will have nothing to do with what happens next Sunday. Comparing what will happen in the upcoming superbowl to what Michael Jordan did, or what anybody else did, is silly logic. What happens next Sunday will be a unique event unto itself. Comparing it to any other is foolish, a kind of mental sleight of hand to justify your bet on the Bucs.
I look for these three things to happen next Sunday:
1.) Chris Jones to crush Tom Brady at least once
2.) Leonard Fournette to drop at least one pass
3.) Tom Brady to throw at least one INT
Give me Kelce over Gronk
Give me Hill over Evans
Give me Mahomes over Brady
I'll take my chances with the better talent at the skill positions. If I lose, so be it.

So you are telling me there’s no motivational factor at all with these Bucs? That you simply write them off because the other team is better and they should win against the washed up gladiators that the Bucs are...
That Maximus Decimus Meriduis who was let go by Rome with all his accomplishments and ended up being a washed up general in a gladiator arena. Only to be motivated by his fellow forgotten gladiators who called him Spaniard. Who were willing to do anything for the Spaniard. Who realized who the Spaniard was the veteran experiences he had fighting for Rome and the motivation he brought to those forgotten men....
You don’t see any of this in sports? Just the battle of Carthage where the Romans should always win and the barbarians gets slaughtered? Not sure If you know the outcome but spoiler alert....
The Spaniard and his men defeated the Romans

I get what you were saying...and how you were comparing your rooting against Jordan to now people always rooting against Brady. You were always looking for somebody new to root for that could take down the GOAT, Michael...like what's happening now in the NFL. Teams and players are always looking for motivation...something to get them psyched, ever if only for the next play, if not for the whole game. Which is why you talking about Maximus makes perfect sense. The rag-tag bunch of gladiators realized who was in their midst, and rallied around him and fought with a level of energy and confidence that the Romans had never seen before in them.
Then RebelTell decides that what you're saying is silly (his word), and decides to mansplain you about events and outcomes and random chance...which you never argued against. Some comparisons can indeed stink, but your comparison was about motivation, not about a previous game...or about which players will have the most impact.
You were thinking that the Buccaneers were an okay bunch the last few years, but now they get the GOAT...and they realize (not at first) that just maybe he could bring something to their group that had been missing. And it took a while; even Arians wasn't buying into TB12 maybe having a little more mojo left in him. Somebody finally realized halfway through the season what they had, and let the game planning evolve from the QB last year was a chucker of the pigskin and now we have a thrower, with as good a touch as anybody...and Brady still led the league with 83 deep throws (over 20 yds is the metric used). Ryan(75), Rodgers(72), and Mahomes (66) were the next three, then Josh and Big Ben tied with 65 throws.
So what you were saying is that Michael, the GOAT, motivated those around him (and you hated it lol), and your analogy of Maximus - a real historical figure - motivating a bunch of gladiators to Brady, the GOAT, motivating those around him to be better, to work harder, and maybe to achieve what these players never really understood was possible.
And you tried to tell that to RebelTell, that of course there are motivating factors...the ones you tried to explain to him with the analogy...but he went for the glib response - "comparisons are odious" ('odorus' was Shakespeare's word, btw, Rebel). And "the Spaniard" and his crew did defeat the Romans, and motivation can be a very powerful thing. Was it Shakespeare that also said, "On any given Sunday..."? Not sure, but a lot off us understood what you were saying, AFN, and what you weren't doing (comparing position players from one team to the other).
Cheers AFN
