So let me ask what do you like about the lions on this matchup I love hearing your analysis I thought away from Ford field Jared Goff was hot garbage?

 Hey Van, what's happening man? Been a minute. BOL this season.

Packers injuries are significant.  For 3 and 1/3 qtrs last week the Saints showed you the blueprint on how to defense the Pack.  Love has been good - but still has yet to be really pressured where he is less good.  That will happen tonight.  

But when SOS and strength of unit and situation is factored in to stats...  The Pack really fall down.  Lets not forget that they have played the Bears, Falcons, and Saints.  Their pass defense is going to be seriously tested for the first time tonight - Goff doesnt turn it over and should have lots of time to stand in the pocket and pick out receivers.  The Pack havent played a real QB yet and their numbers are still mediocre - the Lions should be able to pass at will which opens up the running game.

On the other side, the Lions defense is 2nd in the NFL in QB hurry rate - they will get to Love.  The only way the Pack stays in this is effectively running the ball - which is possible - but not likely.

I have the Lions by 5 in my numbers, lay the 1.5 happily.

Agreed.  All valid points.  My biggest concern for Green Bay is they cant stop the run, not to mention playing against one of the better Olines in football in the Lions.  On the flip side, Detroit can stop the run(ranked 5th in league).

No disrespect to Jordan Love, but games are won in the trenches, Detroit has the edge by a mile.  No Jaire Alexander or Left Tackle for Green Bay.   Yikes!!

Lions also played the Falcons, who they shut down easily. They gave up 37 to Seattle at home.

Not saying you're wrong, it's just there's stuff that didn't get mentioned.

Feel like it's a good spot for them on short turnaround, but strong lean nonetheless...

 @GB, Jan 2023, Goff was 23-34, 224 yds, 12 passing FD's , sacked once -5 yds, but most importantly no TO's. He was efficient in a defensive 20-16 win  that eliminated the Pack from the playoffs. 

I am on them big as well Van and for the same reasons you gave.  I think this could be a long night for Mr Love.  GL Sir
