Average Joes have no idea who the public is for a game.
If you could truly figure out who the public is on, then you would win money fading them regardless of fixes
EG: When Philly plays Dallas, if you live in Texas then the "public" is on Dallas, but if you live in "Philly" the public is Philly. In LA, the public may be on Dallas because they think Cassel is a good QB. In Oregon they are backing Chip Kelly. etc

This is the most insane thing I've ever heard. Who gets their info from regional outlets - are there even regional outlets? makes no sense man

These guys are losing $ and are upset so they are taking the easy way out claiming that everything is fixed. When I lose a bet, I move on and not make weak behind excuses

Explain why a coach would elect to kick a FG when down by 4 on the one yard line at the end of the game?
Why would the Steelers trust their shaky kicking game and not score a guaranteed Touch Down with 10 seconds left instead of kicking a FG with 1 second left? You botch the FG game is over, and you go into OT, you score a TD and force the other team to go 80 yards in one play.
Why would you go to a prevent defense when up by 8 and 2 minutes left against one of the worst offenses in the league, and then allow them to score on 3 plays just for the hope that you recover an onside kick?
Why towards the end of the half would you punt with 4 seconds on the clock before half on your 40 instead of trying for a deep ball to the corner or something get a pass interference call, etc?
Seriously?

Haha. I had the under in the Atalanta game and I was sweating. I was telling myself that they score a td here and then San Fran ties it and then Atlanta goes in or... I had so many scenarios going in my head and then they kicked a field goal. I almost fell out of my chair. I knew it was a done deal under after that.

there is no fix. its just that the oddsmakers know alot better than we do whats going to happen in these games. they have alot more inside info than us . people only whine about this fix crap when they lose.

If you lose there was a fix, but if you were on the other side of a fluke win then you are considered a genius. No in between. Yeah it's laughable, but if people losing thousands want to vent this way, let em.

You nailed it and said it yourself right here. "the oddsmakers know a lot better then we do whats going to happen in these games" hint...that's called fixed when you know. Of course these games are fixed. I think more by referee's then coaches myself. But yes they are fixed. ESPN even persuades the public by majority picking Monday night games and having that team lose.

all i know is , 3 weeks ago ,i decided to cap games , almost exclusively from a stand point of "the fix" what would books/the nfl want to happen , it may be just dumb luck , but i am up over 20 units in those 3 weeks , if you watch alot of these games , and take into account what the spread/total is , and where most of the money appears to be , it is hard to ignore the things that go on in a game
yep.

That electing to kick a FG was an idiot move by the coach. The spread was 7.5 so why the hell did it matter?
Steelers situation is simple whether you agree or not. You do not give the ball back to opponent. Simple. You may disagree but this wasnt exactly a long FG we are talking about.
I have no idea what game you are speaking of in 3rd one.
The punt situation id questionable but if you are content with your current situation no need to add a risk. An interception CAN be returned 105 yds to the house, and it happens all the time because offensive linemen cannot catch a dback to tackle him.
What i dont get about you looney tune fixed people is that who is it that is fixing it? refs or players?
you think every lockerroom has 52 guys in on the fix? you think in 2015 that info wouldnt get out? i mean you just blamed a ton of different players - coaches in that paragraph to all be "in on it"
And for those saying Vegas would lose if it wasnt fixed. Wrong. garbage half of you could bet 60% and still lose because you cant manage your god damn money.
Go grab a box of tissues....

There are proofs already like Ex Nba referee Tim Donaghy already admitted, scandal on Fifa soccer corruptions how do you explain those incident if the leagues not trying to fix a game? We're talking about millions of $$$ here.

everyone here knows how I feel about the whole fix issue.
But unlike most who use it to bash and cry fix
I have come to love it and use it as part of my handicapping.
How many of you you Geniuses got smoked on Denver and Greenbay Yesterday?
Not me
Day before TCU and Mich St
Not me either
in those wonderful cases the line itself led the way
Embrace the fix and use it as no matter what some idiot pathetic good for nothing clown of a sheep will tell you here, It is real and it and it will take every f*cking dime you have if you do not believe in it or respect it.

Agree on green! Very true! Because 97% or so loses. Only winners are Vegas and some of us (3% or so). Therefore, publis loses and fade them and you shall be gold. If you know whom they are picking that is.
Red - What if game is 50-50 (public wagers)

It's crazy to me how people talk about fishy lines or "lines that lead themselves" as some way of proof of fixing. There are tons of games each week where the books worry about the pros, not the public. Oddsmakers recognize spots and situations where sharps are looking to pound, and they must shade lines to protect themselves from that crowd in those spots. That usually will naturally draw a ton of public money the other way though. That money is small compared to what they are worried about getting hit with on the other side (sharp side).
If you start of thinking this through logically, everything can be explained. The problem is most people jump straight into the fix idea and get so stuck in their premise that the truth and logic no longer matters.
