And I don't mean Jesus from Guadalajara...I mean Jesus Christ
With the way Big Ben played tonight, you might as well play Jesus from Guadalajara, same result and no one would notice the difference. Well, maybe except for that deer in the headlight look on Ben's face tonight.
Might as well rest him for the remainder of the season and play D. Dixon and see what he's got. It's not like the Steelers are going anywhere in a month's time.

Easy to be a fan and want to throw your team under a bus, when they lose to the Chiefs, Raiders, and Browns.
You take the good with the bad with Ben. For every time, I want to toss my remote when he holds on to the ball too long and takes a sack when he could have thrown it away, he has more plays where he scrambles and makes the throw. The last sack, oh yes, I did want to toss my remote, but outside of a couple of low throws, he wasn't that bad at all. Miller has developed a case of the droppsies the last couple of games and #34 dropped one of the most catchable balls I have ever seen tonight in the flat late in the game.
To me the biggest issue is their D. Maybe I didn't reallize how much Aaron Smith meant to their D-Line, but the front three get no pressure whatsoever anymore, needing us to bring the linebackers even more than ususal. I am not sure if Farrior had an off night, or if age is finally catching up to him, because I thought his tackling tonight, was as weak as I have ever seen. Don't even get me started on Tyrone Carter. I can't believe how lost the secondary looks without Troy.
The O-line, was really struggling also tonight, but that is nothing new.
Your comments on Tomlin are idiotic. The fact is overall the D has been pretty much lost without Troy and that has shown up time and time again this year, especially late in the fourth quarter. This is like a B movie similar to after the year they beat the Seahawks in the Super Bowl. They find ways to lose and their D is not able to bail them out anymore in fact has become the problem instead of the solution.

I am ashamed to be a STEELER fan!!! Their secondary and special teams could not beat a HS team. Big Ben was a puss tonight. Our D is old and declining faster than our economy. Im glad we won't be going to the playoffs. 8 sacks versus the Browns. OMG
you arent a steelers fan. you cant be with such an idiotic post and must not even watch their games....They have been in a slump and their playoff hopes are gone, but if i do recall, Mr. Tomlin won the last game of the season last year
Shoo fly, dont bother me

I am a long time steeler fan and I do think that Arians and Tomlin are the problem. For so many years the steelers were a smash mouth football team. Getting 1 or 2 yards on third was almost a given. In turn, the long drives sustained because of the running game kept the defense fresh and the other teams pressing. I am not saying that Tomlin is not a good coach but he is not a steeler type coach. Cowher led and motivated on the sidelines and not the media. I was disapponted when Wisenhunt and Grimm were not kept.

It only took you two years and over 2 months to make your first post. And a brilliant post it is. That is the Steelers' problem. They've abandoned the running game and putting it on Big Ben's shoulders, something that Cowher and Wisenhunt almost never did. They kept Ben fresh until late in the game for him to take them on the GW drives. He was put into a good situation to win games, but not this year's pass happy squad.
It is only too obvious that Pitt's o-line is not geared for pass protection as that huge line is for run blocking. I realize they suck at run blocks too, but still that is where they're better at. The old play action pass that excelled in the Bill Cowher era has been neglected.
Your first post!

If you are a true steeler fan,I think you should never bet on the steelers when they are favored by a td or more. I am not sure of the official stats but they are not good ATS when favored by a td or more. This was the case even when cowher was the coach also. They may not have covered the games but they almost always finished the games and at least won.

I usually only come on here to get insight on games that I have a general idea on and see if others have the same thinking that I do when capping games. I had to make my first post today because of all steeler bashing.

thanks to ben i damn near doubled my roll today, his attitude is lousy and infectious, enough that i rode a browns ML (a first for me)....the worst thing for him was winning a SB so young, turned into a whining prima donna. they played a lot better the week he was hurt...they have no balls without troy p. Steelers luck is running out and their time has ran out better luck next year boys

listen people....Steeler fans (and I am a huge one) and haters.....Tomlin was handed a GIFT a fucking GIFT of a team when he took over....and it played out in a SB win.......obviously he isn't going anywhere this season, if nothing else he can ride out the "its so difficult to repeat" card....with that said....if the Steelers, with the talent they have, start out next year 1-4 or so....look out

Tomlin will be the head coach for the next 10 yrs. He is going nowhere. He and Ben will hoist another trophy before long.
One thing you can BANK on is the the next AFC Central team to win a Super Bowl will NOT be from Cincinnati, Baltimore, or Cleveland.
i respect you and your input but the Steelers aren't hoisting up anything for a while. I think we can all agree that last year was one of the softest roads to winning a superbowl in a while and they still should have lost the damn game. Tomin and co were exposed this year and I see them as more of a first round and out type team for the next few years and not much else. Cinci is younger and on the rise btw and I think its their turn for a bit

A Steelers "fan" bashing his coach some 10 months removed from the Super Bowl win.
Guess it is all fans and not just the Patriots and Cowboys fans. I have now seen it all.
Ben has always been great for his ability to hold the ball and take the hit . Now he is criticized for holding the ball. The dude is just coming off a concussion. Think about how hard it is to read the defense, avoid the rush (behind that putrid line), Find the OPEN receiver (very few tonight from what I saw) and deliver a strike (see Jamarcus Russel). Now imagine doing all that with a fuzzy head.
The poor boy is not over his concussion. Give him and the Steelers a break. And oh finally , do not forget they are missing the best defensive player in Football Troy Polamalu. That has to really hurt (check out their record with and without Troy if you do not beleive me). And of finally again, when the Browns won some Yahoo was saying "this is out Super Bowl" just like the Raiders last week . Every team brings their best each week for the Steelers.
You know, I hope they do get rid of Tomlin, it would be the kind of senseless move a "fan" like you deserves.
