The line isn&#x27;t a prediction of who wins or loses.  It never has been.  It&#x27;s an attempt to divide public perception in half.  So your statement, "Line stinks because Green Bay will win" is wrong.

Historically, the line was intended to divide money coming in to be roughly 50-50. That stopped being true on most NFL games about 20 years ago when casinos discovered they could make a lot more money with uneven wagering on NFL games with money mainly coming in on what turned out to be the wrong sides. You'll note that on sites like covers.com you can see that on most NFL games there is a big imbalance of public side choosing -- 56%/44% or higher, with many instances of 62%/38% and higher.

Anyways, I'm rooting for GB today.

Anyone who feels the SF line should be -4, should be all over them if it&#x27;s only -2.5.

[/Quote]what i see is that vegas knows gb will cover this line hence the line being 2.5. If they felt niners would cover they would have made it -3.5 -4. People love taking the better team at a fg fave. Especially if its the last game of the week and all the dogs covered in the other games.

Niners Defense travels very well. Gren Bay barely beat the Bears last week. Yes the Bears.

49ers are 11-2 since week 4. The Chicago Bears didn't rough Aaron Rodgers up at all. This won't be the case against the Niners.
