- Not only was last year's meeting between the two in Jacksonville's second home but it was the second of the Jaguars' back-to-back in the UK. Jacksonville faced only three other "contender" teams in 2023 against Kansas City, San Francisco, and Baltimore. The Jags were beaten convincingly in all three and averaged scoring under seven points per game.
- The loss of TE Evan Engram is a big blow, especially against these Bills safeties.
- Speaking of tight ends, the three "contender" team tight ends mentioned above dominated the Jaguars' shaky defense. Being in the AFC South they don't face very many high-quality tight ends and just aren't built for them. Tonight, they get the duo of Kincaid and Knox on top of the Bills' other receiving threats. Did I mention all the injuries in the Jags secondary?
- Expect the Buffalo pass rush and raucous home crowd to coax a few turnovers out of Lawrence who has been susceptible to coughing it up.
Washington/Cincinnati Over 46 -110 BetRivers
- Cincinnati is decimated along the defensive line, more bad news for a team whose defense has been run over this year, and now Washington, with their ground attack, comes to town.
- The Washington secondary struggled against both Baker Mayfield and Daniel Jones. They won't hold up in Cincinnati against Burrow, Chase, and Higgins.
- I see the Commanders' offense dominating on the ground early, but defensively unable to hold this motivated Bengals offense down at home. As Washington trades too many field goals for Cincinnati touchdowns the score dictates the Commanders' move from the running game and the legs of Jayden Daniels/Brian Robinson to a trailing forced-to-throw offense that utilizes the skills of Austin Ekeler in the dump-off passing game that OC Kingsbury loves. This leads me to a second play...
