Mathematically speaking, trends are meaningless for any current game.

However, this one is just interesting... I might put some money on Ocho just for fun.

I understand being superstitious and worried about a jinx.  But the whole point of Covers message boards is for bettors to help out fellow bettors.  (At least that's what I use it for) Why should he hold back information that could prove useful?.  Of course there are others who come on here just to beat their chest or bag on other people.  That's the garbage of the community.  I appreciate the research and time the more useful members of the community put in to help out their fellow bettor.

Even though I liked SD to blow out Cincy at first, with this trend in mind I started thinking about how this game would play out.  Cincy is at home, so they are less likely to roll over than if say they were playing in SD.  The Bengals win when they run the ball.  I think I saw a stat where whenever Cincy ran the ball at least 30 times, they've won most of those games.  They did that last week and won.  With T.O. out, and Ocho definitely being double teamed, they will need to turn to Benson again.  This also works with a ball control type of game plan, which I would think they would want to use since Vincent Jackson and Philip Rivers are on fire again.  Antonio Gates is also out for this game.  Line has moved to 9 due to T.O. being out and the bets coming in on SD.  Cincy played NO tough just a few weeks ago, and nearly beat them.  This is the perfect opportunity for this trend to continue.  I will confidently lay one unit on this one, and if the line reaches 10 I will definitely drop 2.

only excption is if opponent is multi injured like daown to 3 rd string and 2nd string rookies on both sides of the ball

Trends are great if they are explainable with reasoning.Well this trend will be above .500 because it is hard for a team to not have let downs.Its just natural.

This Trend is solid and not only that, Let me add one more tidbit that I think you should all pay attention to and it is the Strength of Schedule.    I will definitely be hammering Cincinatti +9 .  Have you seen all the teams that Cincinatti has played?  I mean all of them and then look at all of the teams San Diego has played.  san diego has beaten the worst teams and Cincinatti has been playing with the toughest teams this year.  Get ready for a blowout victory for the Bengals.  This San Diego Team is way Overrated.

Conclusion:
It still may be a solid trend, but it is NOT undefeated.

This is definitely a strong trend and Cincinnati is such a weak team. But this can continue, SD can win and not cover thats all I worry about who cares if the Bengals win or not ? I just worry about the cover. Its really hard to bet the Bengals against a good team.

I seem to remember winning some money a few weeks ago when Cincinnatti covered against New Orleans.

Doing a little reading on this XMas night.  A bad bet on Dallas was softened a bit with a play on the under (23) in the 2nd half, but still lost more than I won.  Anyways just food for thought on the undefeated trend...

"On the season, the rested teams late in the season have compiled an 8-2 record both SU and ATS, with the straight up losses coming by six and four points."  Chargers are coming off the extra rest.  The stats to back up the quote is found at vegasinsider, the article is written by Chris David.  That being said, I'm still going with the undefeated trend vs this one for rested teams.  I think the cold weather and the Bengals having to run the ball will work in their favor to keep the game close.  They will find a way to screw it up in the end and Rivers and the Chargers will pull out the win SU but not ATS.

Haven't you learned anything?  Look at the last game that met the criteria...  GB vs NE.  GB was without their All Pro QB Aaron Rodgers.  Backup QB almost got the win against NE on the ROAD..

Cinci will be fine.  They are competitors and will fight till the very end, even if their season is at a loss.

Sampling events over 30 years - it is almost always meaningless in betting.
