“The Chiefs opened at +650 to win the Super Bowl, and those odds are down to +220. In the Super Bowl futures market, 29.9% of all the money was on the Chiefs....The Buccaneers’ odds opened at +1600 and are still +900. At 11.5%, the Buccaneers had the second-most money bet on them to win the Super Bowl at BetMGM.”
If anyone but the Chiefs or Buccaneers win it all, BetMGM will profit on all those Super Bowl futures tickets.
Vegas is rooting for Packers/Bills SB matchup.

i agree. i think Tampa would be a bigger liability than KC due to bigger payout. they have regularly stayed in double digit odds for half the season.. i think highest i saw was 60/1 before the Brady rumor then cut down in half when Brady rumors were circulating late february
Sip on that plus money honey!

Lol. Tampa is not even close to being +900. Id put my house on it with that line
not anymore. it used to be between +1000, +1400 during midseason when Bucs were up and down when they lost to teams like Bears. i did see +2000 one time briefly then they got back on track now +350 to win Super Bowl..

Here are the percentages of money each of the other 2 teams took in for this season’s championship at BetMGM: Green Bay Packers, 7.5% Buffalo Bills, 5.9%
Green bay and Tampa not far apart in %
I would have to run with Brady he's got that look in his eyes when he's about to f*ck a team up
There is absolutely nothing else on my mind but making money and living my dream

First time for everything Zebra. Brady has made a career of doing things few or none have done before. GOAT...he needs to win one more game against GB and he is going back to the Super Bowl. Its not impossible, just saying!

Either way 70% will be wrong lol... If chiefs don't win it, that be Cherry on top for Vegas. Because at 11%, 7% and 5%... The other teams have a lot less action on them than chiefs. Which would mean a lot less payouts for Vegas.

I think too much emphasis is placed on evaluating futures bets and the correlation that vegas is concerned about them or that they are driving/influencing superbowl matchups the books would want. It is such a small percentage of what the handle will be on the game itself. Not only that, youre not including all the money that has already lost and will lose to offset the remaining balance. So 60 percent of the money on their futures handle have lost or will lose. That is guaranteed profit regardless of the outcome of the remaining games. Vegas is not worried about their futures position

Books will NEVER share the truth... I dont understand why people continue to resort to that. Just like when you see a post 88% are on so and so at the books, pure nonsense.
Sports are entertainment... Period... Its a business... A business to make $$$.
How many times did Hillbilly Jim headline wrestlemania?? Or Ravishing Rick Rude... Zero!!!
Its the same in sports and in a pandemic year where revenue is way down bc hardly any attendance at games, the TV $$$ and gambling $$$ is what is making the league go.
Hence why no matter who wins this weekend especially Brady Rodgers the main event is set at Wrestlemania i mean the Super Bowl.
