either one of us can bump this thread in two weeks is another statement/opinion
I think this KC team is better than they were mid season but not even as good as last season
I think this Bills team was better than last season but ran into a stacked deck at arrowhead

holy shit dude, rush I don't comb the forums for lines. I had Philly -7 with a slight adv over the 'skins and made a thread about expecting turnovers and injuries
asking again, you ok?

@soup-can
It's an interesting question. I think they are certainly better than they were earlier in the season, mainly because they are more healthy.
But better than last season ? It's tough to say, but I like my chances when I have Worthy, JuJu, and Hollywood brown when not one of these guys was on the roster last season. Everybody seems to forget that Kelce is still on this team, and he hardly contributed today.
Seriously, how can one bet against a team that is so leaded, has the best QB in the league, and HOF coaches at the DC and head level.
At some point, you just have to stop pushing against the string, don't you ?

can I use a chess reference here? Seem appropriate
The first step is to understand what your final goal is: you want to force the enemy king into a corner that matches your bishop's color. the bishop always controls the squares of one color, the knight controls the other.
after reading it wouldn't make sense if you don't play chess. But numbers and strategy is the name of this game

The most intriguing part of the SB matchup is PHI offense against KC defense.
Sequon Barkley is an enigma. Force Hurts to beat you would seem to be the plan. It will be interesting to see if Spags relies on a stacked one and 2 layers D to stifle Barkley. That is the one of the most intriguing parts of the chess matchup to play out IMHO.

@Rush51
I would like to talk with you these next two weeks, if Spags ever wanted to be a coach there's 30 teams interested. Man amongst men, that said he still cant game a plan for Barkley. You can try but its like gaming a plan for MaHomes. too many x factors so y and z come into too many plays
I want my 5 dollars back from last Superbowl!! that OT!! its just personal(wagers) this time for me

Oh man, I want to pick Chiefs after I read Rush51 but then I want to pick Eagles after I read Soup-Can. My mind keeps switching back and forth because they both have solid reasons. Should I not bet this game ? No way I will watch this game without betting, it is a drug for my gambling addicted soul. After seeing all the good arguments from both Chiefs and Eagles backers, I've decided to bet this game based on my own stupid reason. Will there be 3 peat in NFL ? I don't believe that will happen so give me Eagles ML.

People forgetting same situation last year with McCaffrey, who the Niners used in much more of a dual threat role than how Eagles use Saquon. I won't go so far to say he will be "non-factor" but the Eagles won't be "running away" with this game.

Excellent points ! .... and yes , I did note that the Bills were able to have success running the ball. I just think the Bills had better balance than PHI does on offense, which made them more difficult to plan for,
I saw a stat where Philly threw the ball 500 some odd times this year, versus 700 some odd times this year running the ball .
As I said earlier, I think this game is won/lost on this side of the ball. How well can Spags contain Barkley and PHI ? If they contain Barkley and force Hurts to pass, KC has the secondary to match WRs Brown and Smith

Spags can absolutely game a plan for Barkley ; you don't think Spags has reviewed the multiple 50+ yard runs against most recently the Rams and 'Skins ? Spags is a HOF DC. This is an overlooked asset of the Chiefs. Now he will need his players execute his plan, and the team always seems to rise to the occasion.
Say what you want about Spags interviewing for HC positions. Frankly, I don't understand his thinking about moving on. He's no spring chicken, and running a football team is a whole lot different ( and much more difficult ) than running the defense.

They be lucky to score in the 20s vs chiefs defense. Every bookie and casino i know is anchoring the chiefs. But go bet with the public... doesn't usually workout ...

@tjones1270
So, I have only been able to fact this to 2010 and that seems to be true.
If anyone has data from 2010 - 2025, post it in here and let me know if this odd trend has continued?

Will be interesting to see how the sports books performed. I don't think they have made much return than they would have liked from these Mahomes Super Bowls despite the high handle.
