Giants need to win both remaining games not just one
Incorrect, a win over Green Bay would mean only Tampa could match the Giants at 10-6 but the Giants have the tiebreaker no matter what, therefore a win vs Green Bay seals it

If the 49ers, Rams and Seahawks all end up 7-9 SF wins the tiebreak. The Rams (6-8) and Seahawks (6-8) play each other in week 17. So the 49ers need to win both of their remaining games and have the Rams and Seahawks each lose on of their remaining games.
The 49ers play the Rams this weekend and if the 49ers win that would give the Rams the one loss that the 49ers need them to have. Then they need either the Bucs or the Rams to knock of the Seahawks.

This is definitely the Truth
We will have to wait and see what happens...
The Niners actually have a chance of winning a home playoff game vs the Saints or Giants BUT in no way would it be an easy win. They would have to play a perfect game just to advance to the Divisional Round where they will most likely face Atlanta on the road in the dome. (The Niners lost 16-14 in ATL on 10/03/2010)
* Crazy as it sounds... the Niners could wind up in the NFC Championship Game if they can manage to get thier shit together for these next games and win the NFC Western Division.
Should the SFNiners make that NFC Championship game and wind up playing the Eagles... anything could happen.
I am in NO WAY endorsing a Futures play on the Niners but remember what the SFGiants did this year... sometimes teams from the same city manage to go on a kind of a roll and get lucky... it would NOT be the first time this happened. (I remember that in Philadelphia back in the early 1980's there was one year where the Eagles, Phillies, Flyers and 76ers all made the finals in the SAME year.)
I hate to see football season winding down but I am really looking forward to the playoffs (as usual).
My guesstimate is that the Niners would get bounced HARD in the NFC Wildcard game IF they make the playoffs but I wish them the Best of Luck as long as they are not playing the Eagles in any playoff scenario.
*Note: The Niners lost by only 25-22 at home to the Saints on 9/20/2010... also the Niners lost by a 29-17 score last time they played the NYGiants which was at NY back on 10/19/2008... and the Niners lost by only a 27-24 score the last time they played Philly which was at SF on 10/10/2010.

San Francisco plays St Louis this week so it's all in their hands really. If they beat St Louis and Seattle loses at Tampa, the division is pretty much over since all San Fran will have to do to win it is beat Arizona at home in Week 17.
If San Fran beats St Louis but Seattle beats Tampa then the 49ers have to hope the Rams beat the Seahawks in Week 17 while they beat the Cards
I really like the 49ers to win the division

Wouldnt it make for a huge week 17 in the NFC West if the title went to the winner of the Rams or Seahawks game. I think the NFL rather see this scenario than everything else explained above.

What has to happen for Tampa to get into the playoffs?
First they have to figure out how to beat good teams, they have the worst Strength of Victory in football. If the Giants & NO win this week, TB can not make it
TB needs GB to beat the NYG and then they need both teams to lose Week 17 while TB would have to win out or TB needs NO to lose to the falcons this week while the Bucs beat Seattle then the Bucs would have to beat the Saints in Week 17

YUP but they aint getting to SB if they DO NO chance in HELL because they are on road week 16 - 17
as a WC they go Road in playoffs 3 more games makes them have FIVE st road games
Eagles get easier road as DIV champs and #2 seed maybe #1 because THEY Beat ATL already
Why do you feel the need to only post negative stuff. No one asked "what are the odds of the Giants to win the SB" - this is about making the playoffs, go spread your ridiculous hate elsewhere

Oakland Raiders - IF the Raiders win at home this weekend vs the Colts AND KC and SD BOTH lose this week... Then the Rrrrraiders will only need to win their last game(at home) vs KC to win the AFC West.
The Raiders can also win the AFC West if they win out, KC Loses this week (at home) to TENN and SD loses one of its L-two games (at Cincy then at Denver).
Anything is possible... stay tuned...
Note: The Raiders are unbeaten in division play (5-0).
