He doesn't want to but unless panthers or cardinals beat them in superb owl he will have no choice. Denver stands now chance especially with Chris Harris injury he wants be a 100 percent

For those of you who said New England has "no chance," you do realize you can guarantee yourself a profit, by betting on each of the other three teams to win the Super Bowl, based upon the current Future Odds, don't you?

Don't get me wrong I love Tom Brady. American badass all the way. Took Rodger to court and beat his a$$
Just can't see Goodell smiling and graciously handing over the super bowl trophy and possibly the mvp trophy to Tom Brady.
I honestly believe you will see some of the seadiest calls against the patriots them you have seen in 20 years.
Even allowing the pats in the super bowl would cause Goodell restless night's.
The line is -3 when it's pretty evident that it should be 5.5
The world will go down with the patriots while a few select of us will cash and watch this pathetic limp armed qb named Peyton possibly or shall I say more than likely win another super bowl.

Another question to the conspiracy theorists (no irony, I am completely serious):
We have a lot of discussions about how the NFL wants to sell their product. Recent Super Bowls all had great storylines for the two weeks prior to the game. If it was the Pats rematch vs. Giants in Peyton's living room, Ben vs. Aaron, Harbowl, etc. All turned out as great Super Bowls except for the 2013 SB when the Broncos got their a*ses beat.
Peyton Manning has been playing a horrible season, plagued with injuries behind a OL that returned one starter from last season. The Broncos offense has been abdysmal. Do people really want to see Peyton getting whipped by an NFC team? I mean, how many points would they have scored against PIT without these stupid special teams performances? 10?
Patriots coming off a great season off the deflategate stuff vs. either the 17-1 Panthers with the new star Cam Newton or the Cardinals with a re-born Carson Palmer and Larry Fitzgerald who gets another shot. Belichick vs. Arians. Who wants to see Kubiak and old Peyton Manning?
Yeah I know it's Peyton's last game probably, but outside of America, who wants to see him? I am serious. There are 1 billion people watching the Super Bowl while there are only 100-150M in the United States. That's what I've read last year. Brady vs. Palmer/Newton is the Super Bowl that will see the product better than Peyton Manning.
Just my two cents.

And isn't Goodell getting bonuses off how successful a season was? Do you really think he cares more about his controversy with Tom Brady than making money off an amazing sold Super Bowl?
I can only talk about Germany. NFL is getting a boom here in recent years. This year was the first year they had an own show in free TV, showing 2 games every Sunday and every playoff game. And if you would make a poll, 90% would want to see Brady rather than Peyton in SB50.

Just rewatched the week 12 matchup. NE was in control of that game into the 4th quarter. It was 21-7 Pats, when a rookie muffed the punt deep in Pats territory and let Den back in the game. That was without Edelman and Collins and with a healthy Chris Harris. And Den's 179 yards rushing doesn't look that dominant when you realize that 50 of those yards was on the last play. NE's good performance last week and Den's lackluster one, combined with week 12's matchup...It just makes that -3 look too easy.
Just seems like the books will be inviting too much NE $$ keeping it at -3. I don't like when it looks like the books are comfortable needing a side (Den), and I'm not on that side, which speaks to mafioso's angle here.
Or do you think there'll be enough "wiseguy" $$ on the home dog at +3 anyway??

When deflategate broke last year I was convinced the nfl would not let the Pats win the sb 49, bet on seattle and lost. the nfl showed it didn't care. Patriots and Brady are valuable commodities for the nfl. If brady and pats win the sb it will be the first pats victory with no gate scandal after (unless some new "gate" emerges). Patriots prove they can win without cheating. This actually makes the other victories look less shady and completes brady's redemption as he passes Montana. And all the Patriot haters would have a villain to root against in the sb.

Yeah I did the same yesterday. They were also without Amendola.

I was in vegas this last weekend As I was cashing my steelers +7.5 lucky win
Some snot nosed kid placed a 15k bet on the pats -3
Then he sat there in tears saying over and over again. What have I done What have I done Why is the line only 3 He kept repeating those words over and over again.
So, he clearly is an average Joe who just bet way over his head.
You can't make a real case for Denver no matter how hard you try and spin the statistic aspect of the game.
The line is engineered to draw nothing but patriot bets.
I say this with absolute certainty.
The books do not take a bath this late in the season
The bettors do

Actually the refs that schedule to call this game called the fewest penalty this year. Thst advantage will b for Denver covers where they can get away with a few extra stuff..however I'm going with brady..he knows how to get it down n csn play in the cold..manning has let me down too many times

mafioso, how do you "know you're right"?? what does that mean??
dont read too much into it,its just a turn of phrase one uses when speaking with extreme confidence and conviction...of course no-one actually knows that they are right in predicting events that havent happened yet.............there will be others on site that speak in the same way about patriots.in the end you gotta make up your own mind.no-ones got a crystal ball.

im not being facetious or willfully ignorant here,i dont actually live in the states so i dont know-how popular is peyton actually??is he still the most beloved figure in the game??like on a michael jordan level or??...obviously his game has fallen off big time as he is on his last legs and he comes off as a bit of a dork personality-wise...so im just wondering, how much appetite in the general public is there really to see the dude go out with a bang??
suuma makes a pretty good case, the new wave/youngblood versus the dynasty team pats/cards or pats/panthers makes for a really exciting, possibly hi scoring encounter that wud make the cash register ring....come to think of it,doesnt the super bowl bring in as much loot no matter who appears in it??
anyhow,if brady was allowed to sneak thru last season im not sure why this season shud be any different....regardless of how much they cheat and whether they get away with it or not the whole firestorm surrounding it brings huge publicity and discussion and interest around the sport....which cant be bad financially??
anyhow, great thread.appreciate the different viewpoints and its definitely sumthing to consider..when everything looks so obvious and simple it is usually best to go opposite and the whole damn world is on the pats so far and we're still waiting for the first real "upset" of the nfl plaoffs.

I've been on the broncos for a while now. For a lot of the same reasons too. If 3 of 4 bettors are gonna be on new England especially after last week's public domination, it adds to my reasons for liking denver more. Many forget the team the patriots had when they lost to the Giants for the undefeated superbowl season. Giants had the same type of defense, same run game, same game plan. Patriots were held to what, 14?! That patriots team had a o line light years better than this year's as,well. THERE IS NO BETTER STORYLINE THAN PEYTON BEATING BRADY ONE LAST TIME AND GOING ON TO WIN A SUPERBOWL AND THEN RETIRING. If you want to play the "who deserves it" card, Peyton does over anyone in this league. Brady was given a gift last year in one of the worst acted fixed plays I've ever seen. A gift. I see that gift coming Peytons way this year. I could be wrong, I could be right! Can't wait. Good stuff mafioso.

Mafioso, hope all is well and time is healing things for ya. I read your posts all the time and love the insight/angles you play. I ask this question: I think we would both agree that if Peyton and the broncos are going to the superbowl, the run game and controlling the clock are essential. With that, do you lean the under 44 in this one?.6 out of 10 lean the over, it makes that under look even better. Thoughts? Also, any leans on the spread/total in the NFC? As always amigo, thanks for your insight; much appreciated.
