Another talented athlete, that thought the "gangsta" life, was cool.
Trouble in high school.....
Trouble in college........
Trouble in the NFL............
Trouble with the law............
This guy was a hoodlum, who happened to play in the NFL....
Make no mistake about it; he wasn't an "innocent victim"
Last week someone broke into his house, went through his things, and left a knife on his bed.......YOU DON'T THINK THIS WAS A MESSAGE???
Have you ever heard the expression “I’ll shoot your balls off”?”
My guess;
Sean Taylor was dipping his bucket in someone else's well, and the jealous husband/boyfriend came looking for Taylor to end his career (shooting him in the leg) or shoot his balls off........
Just like OJ, this guy associated himself with bums, thugs, and punks, and led a dirty life.
In the end, it caught up with him.

He was victim yes.. but do we know if this was retaliation ?
The thing I find odd is Ricky Williams has never committed a crime or been arrested. Never called out teammates or spit on a teammate like Sean. He battles a disorder. He feels uncomfortable in his own skin. Yet the guys around here look at him worst than the thugs in the nfl. Ricky is smarter and more articulate than 90% of the dudes in the league.

Details on this are sketchy at best. He has done questionable things, but enough to be killed over? Nobody really deserves that huh? Except O.J. Taylor never killed anybody.

Sean Taylor is a stranger to me. I am sure I have heard of and forgotten some of his exploits. It is a sad thing, I wish his family strength. Here is my point: are the police investigating this crime with due diligence? A shot in the leg is more of a wounding by a woman, all things considered. Is there any proof of an "invasion"? I am reasonably sure the truth will come out, eventually. I do not know who were there with him as "witnesses". It will be interesting to find out the facts.

Tell me all about his trouble in high school and all about his troubles in college.
I agree that there is more to come from this story, however I heard both Larry Coker and his coach from Gulliver Prep School, and they both raved about Sean Taylor the person.Coker stated that Sean was a quiet leader who was an introvert who rarely socialized and kept to himself.Coker went on to say that on the rare occasion when Sean addressed the team,he had everybody's full attention.Sean's coach at Gulliver Prep stated that Taylor was an excellant student who was always the first one at practice and the last to leave. He probably had more to say but was so distraught that he couldn't continue.
The fact is that you really don't know anything about Sean Taylor,so take your 18 wheels of hate somewhere else!

Yes Taylor had a very checkered past. And it does seems like this was a pre-meditated attack from a previous encounter with the killer. When you live that type of negative life style, you reap what you sew.
With that said, he was trying to turn around his life and trying to repair his bad reputation. He had pretty much kept himself out of trouble these past 2 seasons. Of all the reports and interviews that I've heard from reporters, teammates and friends of Taylor, not once did anybody call him or try to make him out as a hero. They all mentioned his troubled past and didn't try to sugarcoat anything.

Not surprised who started this thread.

Meant to say 69 Amazin Mets guess at what happened is my best guess too. Dude was shot in the groin...there aren't too many other reasons for aiming low.
Still, was sad when I heard the news this morning and I hope Sean will R.I.P.

I've never heard badmouthing about someone who just died than I have about Taylor today, and it's ridiculous. Show some respect, nobody who has made a comment in here knew anything about him, just cause you hear what ESPN says about him or READ the sports section of the paper, doesn't mean you know him at all. So please show some respect and let the man rest in peace. Thanks!!!

Not saying that he wasn't involved with another mans girl. But he could have been lunging towards his attacker or in some other awkward position when he was shot. Or maybe his attacker only wanted to wound him. After all the attacker didn't harm his girlfriend who was laying at his side.
Rest in peace Sean.
