I remember hearing this back in early Dec, when Seahawks beat the breaks off them in MInn...Seattle's one of the hottest teams right now, has experience, is clicking on offense, has the coaching edge, just got Beast Mode back (I know he won't be 100% the same but still) etc...I just want to know why the line seems low to me

Didn't Seattle just win this matchup in Minnesota 38-7 just a few weeks ago?  Why would it be different this time?

It's the retarded "everybody likes Seattle so I'll bet the Vikings" angle, or the absurd "Vegas is trying to trick me" angle

38-7 Seattle last time out, so the Seattle -4.5 line is a little strange. Looks to me like Vegas is begging for the Seattle money, as the line should be in the -6.5 range. Looks like Vegas may be setting a trap here.

As expected, money pouring in on the SeaChickens.  I'm seeing   -5.5 now at a few Casinos around town.

They don't care who you bet on, the books just want you to bet- And they want even money bet on either side-

If you're gonna bet, understand how it works...  Games are fixed, but not by "Vegas"

You're out of your mind- Vegas doesn't have to trick you to make money, they are very happy with their 10% and much more on sucker bet Parlays and Teasers...

They are literally the last people that want to see fixed games

I was in the business for 25 years- The books compete with each other- They don't even talk to each other...They make money by charging you something called Juice, the take, the cut or Vigorish

Perhaps you've heard of that?

I have never stated that Vegas fixes games, what are you smoking? I think Vegas will send out a particular line to entice people on a particular side. Nothing about a fix has been stated by me. I wouldn't be betting games if I knew they were fixed. You said the games are fixed.

The line moves depending on the betting- If everyone is betting Oregon they'll move the line to get the same amount bet on TCU..

The betting public (that's everyone betting money) determines the line. Nothing shady there- No tricks

Was hoping to find some good football talk or angles.

This thread=fail so far.

Maybe we could start over. The OP thinks minny can win SU. Why not, they won a relatively tough division and deserve the homefield.

How does Seattle do ats after a 30+ win? My gut says vikings cover, stay away from the ML. Lot to look at yet

It would be -7.5 in Seattle

Sounds about right- Lines makers aren't saying the Sea Hawks are 7 1/2 points better at home, the lines makers are saying they think they'll get 50/50 betting by setting the line at -7.5

They are gauging public perception of the two teams

Yea, all this RLM talk is a joke.  100% always wrong....   100% I tell ya'll  

Line goes up means money is on that side.  Line goes down means money is going against that side.

Shouldn't GB have been at least -6 if you count the 3 point hfa?  

Where's the consistency in the lines as you are stating?
