@blowoutgm, before calling someone an idiot, I'd implore you to Google Tim Donaghy and the NBA scandal.  Games can ABSOLUTELY BE SCRIPTED.  It was documented that it occurred in the NBA 2002 Western Conference Finals in a heavily wagered series featuring stars like Shaq and Kobe in the biggest stage.  The refs admitted to ensuring that series got sent to 7 games.  I was lucky enough to have the Lakers in that series for 2G which was a significant amount for me at that time.  Match fixing and point shaving has been verified across other sports like tennis, college basketball, etc.  What makes you think it cannot occur in football let alone a high profile game like the super bowl where millions get wagered?  Whether a player does it, a referee does it, a coach does it or a combination of many do it, a dirty game is a dirty game.  Is every single sporting event dirty, of course not, but can high stakes games have some predetermined outcome?  ABSOLUTELY.  I've made it a point to make bigger wagers on low profile games where I feel less vulnerable to a scripted outcome (something like a Jaguars vs. Dolphins type shit).  The only reason I bet knowing games can be scripted is because I have found some edges over doing this for 20 years.

@KK1, you are wasting your valuable time on this forum if picking winners comes easily to you.  If it does, let alone a game like the super bowl, you may be in an elite sports bettor.  More power to you and I hope you apply your wisdom to sports betting than waste your energy name calling people you think are peasants.

I can guarantee anyone who bets long enough will eventually be on the right side and the wrong side of a game at some point in their journey where it will be obvious that the players are not deciding the game.  When that occurs, a feeling of dissatisfaction isn't unusual.  I won a shade over 1100 on this game, but the usual satisfaction I have from picking a solid winner is not there because I watched a biased game.  I could easily have lost on this game if the bias favored KC.  The refs destroyed the chances KC had of establishing momentum in this game, and even if the Bucs win the battle of the trenches on the D-line, the game might have been close enough to be in striking distance for KC to implore a mix of run and pass and not entirely abandon their run game due to a large deficit.  Sitting in a super bowl party in a small gathering with a room full of your loved ones and watching your buddy lose money on a team that the referees are fucking in the ass is the main reason I have a bad taste in my mouth. 

The NFL, NBA, NCAAF, and sports in general have no credibility to me, but are ripe with profit opportunities.

The Chiefs knew after the first few calls that Cheffers and crew were not going to let them win tonight. Simple as that. So KC players all hung their heads and tried the best they could to get through a game they knew they couldn’t win. And they knew exactly why. Nobody wants to see Fat Andy, the father of a drunk driving, child murdering thug, receive another SB trophy. They all knew it and accepted it. Just think, when was the last time you saw a KC team (especially Mahomes) not pumping each other up on the sidelines or Andy not talking to his QB? I’ll tell you when. Never. That’s when. 

People are saying those 2 penalites wouldnt have changed anything, they are wrong. They completely changed the tone and KC could've been down by 6-7 at half instead of 15

 I lost 5 k on KC but i am happy knowing they tried hard. I feel great about it ! KC might of won if they could of ever got inside the five yard line. What really hurt was Andys drunk boy. One boy killed himself and the other one has substance abuse problems also.

I was very lucky to hit many props to ease my KC pain..but as OP states that Yes, it was very odd to see all KC flags and NONE on TB in 1st half...So very sad that a league predetermines what their desired outcome will be..

The KC body language argument was on Full display during that game..Very Sad and totally uncharacteristic of a Mahomes led squad.. NEVER made into end zone..WTF..do people realize the odds on KC not scoring any TD???

Odds on Mahomes not having any TDs was like +350 at least...This was one Very Very ODD game and boring to watch too... At least the commercials were the highlights..

I don’t disagree that Tampa could have won without the first half officiating and Andy’s drunk son casting a shadow over the team, but you gotta admit that at the very least it would have been a real game. 

Just try to dissect this equivocating comment by Reid:

“The distraction wasn’t a distraction as far as the game plan goes. That was already in and how we were going to work with it and go forward. I would tell you, it’s a loaded question, Diana. From a human standpoint, it’s a tough one. From a football standpoint, two separate things. From a football standpoint, that wasn’t, I don’t think that was the problem.” 

He simultaneously says it was not a distraction (from a football standpoint) because the game plan was in place before the accident, and, at the same time, that it had an impact on the team from a “human” standpoint. In his heart he knows the two (football standpoint and human psychology standpoint) can’t be separated (that’s why he concedes that it’s a “loaded question”) and yet he tries to do just that with his answer: i.e., separate the human tragedy, and its effects not just on his players and his coaches, but also others involved in the game, the NFL higher ups, the officials, and everyone else sickened by his son’s actions. and the game of football. It’s as if in Andy’s world the game can be compartmentalized in that way: football on one side, humans and their feelings on the other. He is either lying to us or to himself. Tells you just what kind of man he is, and why he may have had a hard time juggling his life as a football coach and as a father to his sons.
