Unless you have money on the game, how the fuck can anyone bare to watch this shit?

Players standing around, clock running. Run one play, stumble for a yard or two. More of the players standing around, repeat. And then there are the commercial bombardments.

I can't stand to watch NFL football even when I have action on the game.

Same thing for baseball. Wait around 30 seconds - 1 minute between every fucking pitch.

You can't say the same about international sports like hockey or soccer.

I read somewhere that there is on average 11 mins of action during an NFL game, from when the ball is snapped til the play is dead. pretty crazy

Eddo brings up a very good point. If it wasn't for gambling and fantasy leagues, no one would watch this shit. The quality of play in college and pro football is awful. The players can't tackle. Coaching is horrible and there's a flag every other play. There's instant replay and they still fuck the call up.

Okay okay maybe not soccer. But it's still more fast paced than American football. College isn't so bad. But NFL is horrendous. Out of the 3-3.5 hours, 1 hour is dedicated to commercials. About 2 hours of time we see players standing around, huddling, lining up at the line of scrimmage, etc. 11 minutes of action is correct. The rest is dedicated to replays.

Football is the only sport in the world where NOT scoring (and burning clock) is considered a prime skill.

Give two teams 8 regulation possessions each with no clock and see what final score would we have. Probably something like 45-41.

Sometimes you wonder. They huddle for 30 seconds. Hand the ball off the and the guy just falls down. Even I could do that. That's not sport!

FYI, I am not from Europe, I live in Canada.

lol wow not sure if taunting my bad beat or serious. But yeah at least numbers were being put up. Certainly more exciting than tonight's Bears/Astros game. And most definitely more exciting for gamblers. At least they weren't stopping for commercials as much.

Sometimes I have three tabs open (or more) on my dual monitor and following these games at the same time to see if I am getting bankrupted by my degenerate parlays bettors. And then I have a another tab open with YouTube, 9gag, Reddit, etc because the stoppages and commercials are so frequent there is no action in EITHER one of those games at some given point in time.

There's only one Football!! Its much more exciting than futbol. 90 minutes of flopping by guys that wouldnt last 30 seconds in the NFL.
