Carried breakfast to mom, had a driving range session and even washed the truck, now it is all about watching pucks. Woke up to find I covered the over in the Dallas/Calgary game by 1 second...whoooohoooo. Kept thinking I was 3-1 yesterday but I forgot the Caps game went over so 4-0 day and 16-7 in the playoffs. However, I am concerned with my Florida and Calgary futures. How about those Flightless Fowl (Pens). Bednar say Darcy has an eye injury but "could play in game 4 Monday". Sounds as though he will be back but probably not this series unless needed.
Onto today, already took the Canes last night at +115 so will ride that out. Raanta back in net for the Canes today. The Boston perfection line was responsible for 2 goals and 4 assists the other night. Just have to ride with the better team in this situation. Can the Wild get a strangle hold on this series today? I know Krug is out. Leddy and Bortuzzo practiced yesterday so will have to check back later on that one. I mean, I know the Leafs showed me the other night but I have to play the odds tonight (although something tells me all good things come to an end) so I will take Tampa and hold my nose. Oil, imo, will dominate again tonight and finish it at home.
Short and sweet right now.
So far for me...Canes ML. What do you want to talk about?

Damn...Sutter coming down on Johnny Hockey I see.."that's their job" was his quote after Johnny missed the breakaway late last night. Didn't realize as I haven't watched much of the series, Johnny is a no show so far. 40 goal scorer in the regular season but has yet to light the lamp in the playoffs. Is he taking a page out of Marner/Nylander book?

Agreed all good things come to an end. Although im a leafs homer so I should be taking Tampa and hedging a win/win for myself.
when will we start seeing some old school playoff unders? Typically these -2.5 empty nets are reserved for the elimination games.
I’ve noticed that Bovada takes the -1.5 off the book when it’s a 1 goal lead in the third. They’ve caught on to the scheme of taking -2.5 on the EN at inflated odds perhaps?

That Tampa/Toronto game is puzzling at the moment. Have some time to ponder.
Digging further into the B's/Canes game. The Canes dominated the first 2 games, I think we all can agree. AND in fact, up until they gave up that shorty in game 3, the Canes were dominating as well. So what may I ask has changed? Canes were 0-5 on PP in game 3 and allowed 2 PP goals and a shorty, so 5 v 5 they were the better team again. Clean up the special teams and there you go. With the perfection line back together, the Canes D can concentrate on shutting it down or slowing it up and the B's are beat. We have seen it again and again, can't count on one line. Prior to starting game 3, Swayman's last 3 games allowed 3 or more goals, in fact in his last 8 games, he gave up 3 or more in 6 of them. Yeah, yeah, playoffs are different. Tell you this, Canes have to put up more than the 26 SOG they did in game 3.
AND isn't it about time for an under in this series?

I took a day off but ALL games went OVER yesterday. As a pessimist in life, that made me along with Can the majority of games (especially the one that I bet on. Not gonna tell ya bc I think by telling it ends up ) stay under today?
of luck ladies and gents..
"Schrödinger's bet." A bet that loses when you bet it but wins when you DON'T bet it...

Late notice but McAvoy OUT today...should have taken Canes tt as well. Interesting, B's tt in the last 5 minutes went from 3.5 to 2.5 and only -150. HUGE drop.

Hey Doc,
Yeah for sure...and Matthew Tkachuk's not much better...2 assists and 5 SOG. (Johnny with 2 assists and 7 SOG.)
Might have to chance the Fab Five tomorrow; couldn't touch it last night lol.
Cheers !

Agreed. It’s like the people making these decisions don’t understand the burden of proof for call on the ice, situational decision making, and cost/benefit analysis. Maybe a good challenge if it was a 2-goal game either way but that was a bad call.
