The Blue Jackets allow BY FAR the fewest third-period goals in the NHL and it isn't even close.
The Islanders are tied for second fewest third-period goals allowed in the NHL.
The Islanders have allowed the fewest goals in the NHL.
The Blue Jackets are near the bottom in goals scored in the NHL.
Hurricanes and Leafs allow the least, and next-to-least, second period goals in the NHL.
Any comments by anyone on these facts ? I have made some bets today so far, based on these stats.

Leaning under on the Canes/Leafs game simply due to the fact that it's an early start on a Weekday. I tend to like these spots as the puck drop throws off the routine of the players a bit. Normally they'll start sluggish and be sluggish throughout the game. Throw that into the fact that the break is coming so I see both teams sleepwalking through the game and into the break.
Just my 2 cent.

"Hart at home" is a decent angle, and could be worth playing tonight ! Hart is tonight's confirmed goalie....

Mr. Lippsman, I agree this is likely a good play and my book has it at -125 right now...but....
Canes both score a lot in first period, and Canes allow quite a few goals in first period.
Don't wanna overthink this one, but goals by period might better say to make this a LIVE bet at the first intermission, or maybe at least halfway through the first period, depending on total and under prices at that time.
What do you think ?

Question for you, Mr. Lippsman....
Do you think, gut feeling, that daytime games would tend slightly more towards Under-type bets than the same game played at night, all else being equal ?
Maybe there are some long-term stats on this somewhere, also. But what is your gut feeling, in general, on this point ?
Thanks !
