Oilers take it in Double OT, Congrats Oilers backers...
Had to go to bed but it figures that McDavid would be the one to finish the game. Dallas had their opportunities in first OT but didn't capitalize. Thought first 3 periods, Dallas was just flat. With just that one win, Oilers series bet went to -190.

Afternoon Gents and Jules....
good game last night. Let's hope we get another tonight. Going back to the well again.
Dallas ML -140
Hintz is a game time decision. Yes, I'd like to see him back but only if he is healthy. Number 1 center playing v McDavid, he needs to be or keep Johnston on the top line. Think about that kid. He had to go against Eichel in round one then McKinnon in round 2 and now McDavid. Stars need to figure out the Oilers PK (whick is impressive to say the least). Stars need to come out, shoot the puck and put body's on body's.
GL...off to grill.

Knoblauch must not have watched Stanley Cup playoffs in the past. Come on man, everyone knows the penalties are limited in the playoffs, especially the deeper you go. Through 2 games, Edmonton with 3 PP's and Stars with 6 PP's. Maybe slightly off but no that far off. In fact, Dallas throughout the playoffs have avg. only 2.82 penalties per game, compared to Edmonton that is avg. 4.15 penalties per game. Sorry, but we all know that penalties are not called as much in the playoffs. McDavid has been crying about this for years. And now the coach seems to be whining about it. You know it is coming so improve your 5 v 5 and don't count on your PP as much. Hell, Florida avg 4.67 penalties per game but I don't hear Maurice raising hell. Ok, off my vent.

so at what point has a team deficient in goal and defense found enough of that to make it to the finals and win? Edmonton's time is up especially against an equally hungry team from last year that plays better on the road..sorry Canadien teams but for God's sake, build your freakin teams from the back up and you'll finally see Lord Stanley where it's deserved

What he is saying is if the NHL and Ratboy call all the kife stick infractions during regular season to try and get goals so markets that he shoehorned franchises in that don’t have an actual fan base that actually understands hockey will watch because it will be “exciting “, they should be called in playoffs as well.
The slash on Holloway in game one on breakaway after Dallas tied it is 100% a penalty in Cockbreathes new NHL.

I totally understand your point and I do get it is called differently but at the same time, it has been like this for decades. Everyone knows we don't see as many penalties in the playoffs. Now are some missed? Absolutely but we accept and move on. I feel more penalties could be called in every game played but some are let go. Look at the cross check called on Trochek in Game 1 vs Canes but then no call on Bennett vs Boston. Guess my point is everyone gets some and doesn't but no need to voice it because nothing will change. I bet you this, Edmonton will get more PP at home in the next two games.

Ok, have a goalie and defense that win games, even steal several in the playoffs, add some good 2 way forwards then get your offensive star or 2 and win the Cup..
Notice how the Blackhawks, Kings, Penguins, Knights, Bruins, set their teams up and won...Offense is just a cheap drug that leaves you out on the street in May, bro..just ask Leafs fans, Oilers about to see once again

PPs are harder to come by in playoffs.

The first game was horrible officiating. Holloway breakaway was the same slash they called on Bouchard on the same type of play. How they call one not the other is mind boggling. Everyone says Dallas doesn’t take penalties, well that’s what everyone thinks they ain’t going to call any on them then. Point is every time McDavid is flying with the puck into Dallas end he has 4 sticks hook or slash him and they will not call it. The regular season they would call it. It’s playoff hockey and they change the way they call games. My only problem is call it on both teams slashes or cross checks hooks whatever the penalty just be consistent.

Do we get another 2-2 series after tonight? Do we return to unders again? I'm leaning over 1P as the Oilers need to respond early. I'll decide later after drinking all day on the course

Game 4 - Dallas blows a 2-0 first period lead, Tanev leaves game after blocking a shot mid 2nd period. Dallas played the 3rd period using 4 defensemen and Oilers roll to a 5-2 victory. On to Dallas for game 5. Series tied 2-2.
