Metro -140 total 13 1/2 -110 Atlantic +120 total 13 1/2 -110
(only two out yet)
note: with the 3 on 3 one 20 minute period format I think the closest thing to predicting the TOTAL OVER or UNDER is 1st periods from previous All-Star games. in the OLD format the OVER had been pretty much "The Annual, Traditional Sports Betting LOCK of the YEAR". maybe NOT this time around when you see these numbers
now with the 3 on 3format they should exceed the 6 to 8 1st period totals BUT all they way to a 13 or 14?

WOW- and LRR thought 13 or 14 was high for the o/u, BOTH games here set at 15.5, and I agree with Degen69 that Metro/ Atlantic is a Crap shoot, but Central should blow Pacific right out of Bridgestone, but not willing to lay -140 on it
Metropolitan vs Atlantic - All Star Game - Music City Center - Nashville, TN

I nailed the over yesterday at 11.5 -110...didn't think they would add 3,4 goals to that total today
obviously the biggest factor is that this is a brand new format and nobody knows what to expect...anyone who watches the nhl asg knows that the players usually shy away from scoring..still, wouldn't be surprisingly for each period to end like 22-17
it will be interesting no doubt

Ok so these aren't going to be perfect numbers because I couldn't find minute info anywhere, but I did some digging that might be helpful.
This season 171 games have gone to OT. 109 finished in OT and 62 went to a shootout. The number of 3 on 3 goals scored this year is 93. Maybe that includes 1 or 2 during regulation when penalties accumulate or maybe not...again these aren't perfect numbers. Remember sometimes there are 4 on 3 situations in OT as well when there are penalties, hence the difference between 3 on 3 goals and the number of games won in OT.
Take what you want from this, and it sucks that I can't be exact, but it seems like the amount of 3 on 3 goals/3 on 3 minutes isn't quite as high as it's perceived. I think the under's could have a lot of value here...thinking like a 6-5 score or something like that.

William-Hill, which is the most active NHL book out here with 1st period sides & totals, reverse pucklines and In Game, have NOT listed a side OR total for EITHER game

Except, teams playing do not have as much talent as the all stars will have..
but maybe less chemistry,.... and I doubt anyone will be blocking shots. Tricky game for sure... you have to try to guess the pace of the game AND ( lack of ) amount of chemistry / communication. Want to make a small play but just not sure

Personally, I don't think the 3 on 3 regular season stats mean squat in the All Star Game.
First, as faceoff said, you have a whole different skill set laying tonight, but that works on the defensive end with the Goalies as well. Which brings up another variable. How will the substitution of Goalies affect their play, essentially coming in "cold" (even though they will warm up during the pre game).
Second, although in the regular season games, puck possesion and scoring is important, you have to remember that ONLY 1 GOAL needs to be scored to determine the outcome of the game. Therefor there is more strategy involved as to when to take the opportune shot to decide the outcome of the game. Tomorrow I think will be total "NBA on Ice", with SOG taken that probably wouldn't be taken during the OT of a regular season game with regard to puck possession and rebound ramifications.
I'm as big a degenerate as there is, but anyone that wagers more than a "sprinkle" for fun, definitely needs some.
Since this is the first time with this new format, I don't think anyone has any idea what will happen, and even "Vegas" probably won't be able to have any influence on the outcomes.
With that being said, I think the Central will walk away with it, although I'm not going to lay the -135 juice to find out. I also think that no matter how much "NBA on Ice" there is, scoring more then 15 goals in 20 minutes is going to be a pretty tough nut to crack OR
Good couple nights to sit back and watch with no more than a "sprinkle" to make it a little more fun to watch.
Interesting side note. I heard Subban say that he thinks Weber will hit 113-114 mph tonight
Good Luck to everyone whatever you decide. Just do yourself a favor and remember there is still a lot of "real" NHL to wager on between now and June and it is OK to take a couple nights off

Here's my take on this......3 on 3 gets competitive. Guys don't like being shown up so they're gonna play some defense, especially since it's a mini-tournament. Also, if a team gets a 3 or 4 goal lead I would imagine you may see one team play very conservative. Which in 3 on 3 hockey is kind of like basketball. If a team packs it in, there's not much you can do, especially with guys of that level. 14 1/2 goals in 20 minutes is a lot. These games could go 5-2, 6-3, 4-2 etc. Never Know.
Watching 3 on 3 OT however there have been a bunch I've seen where the chances are limited. I don't think in this format the players are going to let guys just skate by them and get Grade A scoring chances and not try to defend. Leaning Under. Like someone in this forum said earlier......over 14.5 in a 20 minute competition is like a goal every minute or so!

unders (14 1/2) it is for me, quarter each, 1st and 2nd period . Hopefully they'll stay out late tonight and have a few , then maybe just go through the motions tomorrow - who knows
GL to all if you do anything with this game

Why are we not thinking that a central team with the leagues top 3 scorers and a number of other young Gus won't advance against a team with John Scott on it? Seems easy to me.

John Scott is the only one who actually cares about this tournament as the 1st place prize, a million dollars, would be HUGE for him considering his wages. He's got a number of old pals in his side as well, who I believe will want to help him get the 1st place.

Keep in mind that in a 3 on 3 the goalies are the biggest factor by far. Goals get scored by individual efforts mostly. Not too many chances for rebound goals since so few guys on the ice.
