woe Canada
those were bad
jealous fucker !!!! funny how the only people I've heard bitch so far about the Olympics happen to be American haha
I'm not trying to be a wiseass, but I'm really wondering about the indigenous angle. Is this really a big issue in Canada? Was this a display to make the Europeans feel better?
I was just thinking as an American that if we had a similar opening ceremony, it would be a total joke.

I thought the same thing...maybe this was the last part of the deal when they took their land

BeeRAD, I'm really not meaning any disrespect. As I said from the get-go, I was just wondering how you Canadians viewed your Aboriginal people. Was it a PC gesture or heart-felt? If that was held in the US, believe me it would've been a PC gesture. Obviously, you believe that it was more heart-felt in Canada.
I watched the rest of the ceremony today, & it kicked-ass. Good luck in these Olympics to our friends to the North.

...and that's got to be $1250 Canadian $$$ for tonight's ticket right? Sounds a bit exorbitant, but hey, if you've got to be there, I suppose the price is right...
Enjoy the games all!

hey nixon, I hear you loud and clear regarding our currency. And that is why I plunged over 50% of my own wealth into GOLD two Thanksgivings ago when it traded at below $700/oz --- fyi, the charts all say that AU )Gold) is headed wel, over $2000/oz, and that may be just the start of what will ultimately become a "bubble" in precious metals... but I will be there near the "top" ($3000/oz?)to sell and short the GLD (Gold ETF) right back to $500/oz...
