Good signing for the Sharks, although they should still give Nittymaki a chance because he has a lot of talent and finally gets to play with a real team.

Well so much for the goaltending problem I thought they were crazy to let nabokov go but I think Niemi is a good replacement

Just saw it on KRON Mr.Z...... right after the 3.3 earthquake centered under my ass which was on the sofa. Startled the heck outta me. Gotta love the Bay Area. Ha,ha,ha.

Hey Z... 1/2 hour later, at 10:05 we got another at 2.4 mag but it was a mild sway compared to the 3.3 JOLT at 9:35am here on 9-2-2010.

Hockey is almost back... Anyone excited about FOOTBALL???????

I got to give Doug Wilson a lot of credit. The reason IMO they got Niemi was because of him making an offer to Hjalmarsson that he knew Chicago would match. No way Chicago lets him go to an elite rival. He knew they wouldn't sign both Hjalmarsson and Niemi. He basically just slipped the bait and it was taken.

Congrats to to the Hawks on their Stanley Cup win. But the dismantling of the team in the off season must leave a bitter taste in the fans mouths. (Go Thrashers?)

UM He took less money with the Sharks than the Hawks were going to give him.What is Neimi doing taking 2 million when the Hawks offereed him 2.4.

And the Hawks will be right there again vieing for the CUP they are not dismantaled!!!

UMMM...he was offered more money until they signed Hjalmarsson. Chicago then decided to sign turco for 1.3 million because they didnt think they would be able to sign Niemi for less money than they offered which I think was a 3 or 4 year deal for about 10 million. Niemi took less money because he wants to be on a winning team and wants to stick it to Chicago. The Hawks wont be anywhere close to the same team as last year, they have no chance this year, sorry

Wrong on both accounts they went after keeping Hjalmarsson they went to Neimi and said in order to stay under the cap they need to sign him for a little over 2 million and he wanted 2.75-3 million so tthye had to let him go.What an idiot.And wrong again the Hawks will be right there again and watch out for there other goalie Crawford.You are on the Sharks band wagon and all they have done is NOTTA and choke LOL

One other thing Neimi will be worse without the Hawk defense who allowed the lowest shots on goal in the league.
