Bartender, you always share your winning picks. Allow me to share mine. I' m good picking like you are, but we'll see how I do. Your Rangers, canes (They usually give pitt problems,) and the under in Dallas. If it goes over, it's because the Blues will score and I don' see that happening. Best of luck to us.
Thanks, buddy. All three of those were part of my card as of last night. Be doing some research this afternoon once I get home and posting the finalized card. Been fading PIT and the under in all STL games for the last few weeks so I agree with you there...and yes, on my Rangers as well

NJ -185Continuing to fade the Sabres and Coyotes every chance I get. Even more so on the road. In New Jersey where the Devs are 12-5-2 and are on a 5-game winning streak. Not a lot to be said about this. A good team on home ice versus a bad team that has had no consitancy all year other than being bad. I could also see this young and disillusioned Sabres team looking ahead to the big Winter classic which is nexdt up for them after this game.
NJ -1 1/2 +158*half unit*
NYR - 115 My home town Rangers. Again not a huge write-up to side with the Blueshirts here. Better team, better talent. I wonder how the loss of Kreider will effect them (and so do the books b/c this line should be bigger under normal circumstances) but not enough to shy away from backing them. Their record doesn't show it yet this year but they have been true road warriors under Vignault for years now. Nice little stat here for Lundqvist--he has his best GAA 1.90 and Save% .938 career-wise against The Wings. I'm not one to harp on history but it was nice to add here.
CAR -131 Pens have been inconsistant all season long. Nice late game comeback for them against a beat-up BlueJackets team their last time out so I see a let down here going on the road...especially as injuries begin to mount up for them; Rust, Ruhwedel, Murray and now Letang all out for them here. Back the home team.
NYI/WIN over 6 - 125 I originally was all over Winnipeg here until they lost their top centerman. Big loss that can't be understated. 38 points is a tough to replace. They seem to have a deep roster but still. Thats a big part of their team and perhaps they can compensate but it might take a game or two to figure out new roles and gel better. I'll stick with the over though as I've been fading this Isles team due to their high end scoring and bottom feeder defense all season. Lets hope that trend can continue here. Was hoping for a potential 5 1/2 b/c of the Scheifele loss but no such luck.
STL/DAL under 5 1/2 - 120 Continuing to fade the inept Blues offense. These are trends you have to ride until they right themselves and that hasn't happened yet. They are 4th overall in goals allowed as they continue to buckle down to try and make low scoring affairs their best chance at winning--the penalty kill is also stopping tams at a 95% clip over the last month which is tops in the NHL.
PHL/TB over 5 1/2 -125 Tampa scores. Its what they do. Budaj projected to start (not confirmed) and he lets up goals. Its what he does. Putrid .878 Save% and 3.67 GAA. Yikes. *pending Budaj confirmation*
Good luck everybody!

Bartender enjoy the movie dude , The Last Jedi is a great movie I went to see it 2x
Yeah it was good, I felt. Lot of negative backlash from people I had been reading. People want everything to be the same...which doesn't progress the story at all. Gotta take risks (like gambling) to make a better movie.

I meant to say that I'm not as good picking like you are. Didn't mean to sound arrogant
I'm nothing special. Just having decent run last few weeks. I just put a little thought into the games and hope the angles I side with play out in my favor.

I feel as if at least either Blues or Pens win today. What you think?
Well I'm on CAR so I hope the Pens don't win, lol. Realistically they both could of course. STL just has been in such an offensive rut its hard to back them against anyone right now. Just my opinion on them. I prefer sticking to the totals with them right now.

Im also surprised at how big of a face Edmonton is
I assume all b/c the Oilers have had a little bit of a resurgance lately and now with Crawford out for the Hawks...really a big piece of their winning puzzle. Forsberg hasn't shown much for them. Still wouldn't bet EDM at that high of a price, though.

Yeah Blues haven't been getting it done for a while now. Offense went stagnant. Tarasenko is ice cold. Had a 3rd period lead though and lost. Part of my write-up on them was how good their penalty kill has been and that was a PP goal that ultimately snapped a 2-2 tie late.

BOS -155Ottawa had a rare offensive outburst and a win yesterday, but prior to that they were on a 3-13-3 free-fall. This isn't just a sample size trend, this is pretty much a 1/4 of a season. Its who they are. The out of the ordinary game was the win yesterday. Not to mention they had to comeback from a 3-1 deficit. We’ll see them regress back to their norm here against a more skilled Bruins team, who themselves are looking to bounce back after blowing two leads in Washington. Bruins won’t want to give away points to a team they should rightfully beat so expect a strong game here by BOS.
CAR/STL under 5 ½ -120 Should have been a winning bet yesterday if not for a 5-goal 3 period outburst (happened to me last Friday also in BUFF/PHL). Both teams coming off a B2B so I expect a slower-paced game. Carton Hutton has been a wall for The Blues when called upon and I expect a 3-1 type game here.
STL -123Blues just played 5 of their last 6 away from Scott Trade Center. They’ve been struggling. They continue to be near the top of the league in goals allowed. This is simply a gut feel here that they play a strong game at home with a guy in net who has been great for them when brought in from the bullpen. Going completely against trends here as the Blues are struggling and Car is in a stretch of playing some good hockey. They gave away points last night after holding a 3 period lead on the road. Looking for a strong 60 minutes out of them tonight in front of the home crowd.
STL – 1 ½ +230 *half unit*
LAK -132 Vancouver beat up Chicago 5-2 its last time out but that was shooting on a terrible back-up goaltending situation Chicago is dealing with right now. Now they must play against a more dominant and physical Kings team as well as shoot on an all-world goaltender in Jonathan Quick. Expecting a lot more effort and desire to grab these points against a mediocre team by L.A. after a disappointing home loss where they looked very sluggish and were outplayed at Staples Center.
Good luck everybody and fcuk yesterday's shitty losses, lol
