PIT -1/2 -130 Pens are 7-0 at home following a loss and are 19-5-4 at home overall and 12-2-2 in their last 16 home games overall. Revenge game here for Pittsburgh as they lost on home ice to Montreal earlier this season. Canadians have just lost their captain Shea Weber, have lost 2-straight and are coming off a tough rivalry game against Boston.
PIT -1 1/2 +140 *half unit*
NYR/CLB under 5 1/2 -115 Was hoping for Shesterkin here for a two unit play but I still like the under here. Columbus has played 11-3 to the under in their last 14 and their turnaround this season under Torts has been about his signature defensive style and goal-tending. These two have played twice this season to scores of 2-1 and 3-2. Georgiev stopped 45 of 47 shots against Columbus his last time facing them and Merzlikins has a .960 Save% and 1.24 GAA on home ice this season.
CAR TT over 3 1/2 -145 *half unit* Domingue has a road Save% of .857 and a GAA of 5.01!

Weird to be a Ranger fan right now.
Team has got a long way to go to sniff a playoff spot but they’re seemingly playing well which has most fans wanting us to keep players and make a run.
Problem is, we’re still behind AND we’ve had the second weakest schedule to date so to be where we are with THAT schedule is a sign of who we really are. Gotta sell.
Then we have the Kreider problem, he’s one of the guys helping us make it seem as if we could make those playoffs as he’s been red hot. But while being red hot, he’s literally pricing himself right off the team.
Just beat Columbus and don’t get me wrong, it was nice to win, but Columbus is hardly an offensive power-house. Offense isn’t even their style of game and yet they still had 37 SOG, 11 were blocked and no idea how many were wide. They had 50+ shot attempts before the second period ended—I know that much. We give up way too many chances.

The following is what I would be betting today:
BOS by 3+ -110 *half unit* It’s the biggest NHL line I’ve seen in over a decade of betting. My local has the Bruins at -625! Wow. Bruins have won 7 of 8. Only loss? Detroit Red Wings, who snapped the B's then 6-game win streak. Bruins out shot Detroit 40-20, but a loss is a loss and the Boston team will be looking for sweet revenge against a much lesser opponent in front of their home-town fans. Rask is 13-0-6 on home ice and holds a .931 Save% and 2.02 GAA. The statistical difference in nearly every category between these two is staggering, yet Detroit has two wins in two matchups this season. I call that a statistical anomaly which ends this afternoon. STL -135 The question Blues fans have to be asking themselves now is if Jordan Binnington is the guy who can help them repeat. I know he was a catalyst in their surge to win the cup last year, but Matt Murray was that for the Penguins once also and he’s languished almost ever since. Binnington has some of the worst starting goaltender stats in the league now. Although stopping pucks from arguably elite Blues team and owning the 3 most wins in the league, he sits just ranked #38 in the league with paltry .909 Save% and his 2.79 GAA ranks #29 overall. He has been terrible for the better part of 2 ½ months and his last TWENTY starts! He has allowed 3 or more goals in 8-straight. For perspective, Jake Allen is ranks #7 in GAA and #10 in Save%. Blues have lost 8 of 10 and goaltending has been a big reason for it as they have allowed 35 goals in that span (3.50) Jake Allen gets the nod here after a disastrous 6-5 loss their last game out. Allen will look to right the ship at home where he owns a .928 Save% and 1.89 GAA. Home team dedicates this game to Jay Bouwmeester and gets the big win.
EDM/FLA over 6 ½ -110 Florida was cruising along having won 6-straight and scoring 30GF (5.00) then suddenly the wheels came off and they’ve lost 6 of 8 scoring only 17GF (2.12). Even with this swoon, The Panthers are Oilers are both top 5 shooting % teams, both top 10 PP units, both bottom half of the league in team Save% and Florida’s PK unit is ranked #25 to match up against Edmonton’s #1 rated PP.
COL -1 ½ -107 Los Angelas will be playing outdoors in Colorado. The Avalanche own the highest scoring offense in the league and have won 8 out of 10. Quick is projected and he hasn’t won a game in his last 8 starts going 0-7-1. Quick has only allowed fewer than three goals ONCE in his last 11 appearances and holds a traveling Save% of .883 and GAA of 3.52.

Bet. Don't bet. Either way, I can't pick winners. This was good to see. At least my superstition was proven wrong. I just suck overall. Like many other weeks of this season, my non-bets started out red hot then slowly shit the bed and turned into a negative overall. Only thing I can say about this year is the consistency of my losing is unmatched.
