I lose on more Tampa bets than is humanly possible. They're killing it on the season but if I bet ML its on the rare game they lose outright. If I bet puck line against sh*t teams its invariably always a stellar goalie making it a one goal game...Carter Hutton...stop. Speaking of goalies...Khudobin helps to steal the win for Dallas, too.
Lose all 4 sides. Let me go find something to smash.
Leans went 1-2 with TOR, NASH, FLA so eh there also.

So my local book has both Columbus and Calgary as -235 but regulation lines differ to huge extremes with CGY -1/2 being -170 but CLB -1/2 -115
That's a crazy difference.

CLB -1/2 -117 *two units* I was on Columbus their previous game when they lost in Montreal but had no idea Panarin was going to miss the game. The reasoning was that the Jackets had won 5 of 7 previously and just came off a 5-1 loss to Tampa but underlying metrics showed a team that really controlled both games that they lost (TB & NYI)—basically they’re playing well and as the season continues to move forward their defensive Corsi ranks keeps getting better which means they’re playing very tight strong defense in their own zone. Now the Duchene swap and they have a strong offensive player who is also one of the better face off guys in the league going against his old team right off the bat—and weakens Ottawa even more so. Panarin is due back as well and Duchene from all accounts will be in a Jackets jersey.
CLB to win the opening faceoff -120 Complete gamble on my part here (really aren't they all?) that Duchene brings a guy who is winning faceoffs at over a 55% clip against an Ottawa team that used him as their top face off guy.
COL/CHI over 7 +110 Probably going to hop on this bandwagon just in time to mush it good. Over has hit in 10-straight for Chicago and 17 of 18. 2-1 game, anyone?

Negative. Even got Duchene to take the draw which I wanted and he lost.

PIT/PHL over 6 ½ -105 Elliot making his first start since November, I believe. Neutral location game here. Flyers have given up 20 goals in their last 5 games (4.00). Pittsburgh coming off being shut out by San Jose, so an offensive bounce back is worth betting on as previously they had scored 21 in their 5 prior games (4.20)
ANA/EDM under 5 ½ -135 Ducks playing much better defensively since the coaching change and the kid has played very well as well behind them. No McDavid for Edmonton tonight also helps here.

Alex Chiasson took, what I think was his first face off of the season and won (and only one of the game) against Sam Steel who I have no idea why he was taking the opening draw when the Duck shave high end face off guys like Kesler hitting at 56%, Getzlaf and Henrique around 54% etc etc That was a bust. Oh well. Faceoffs have fizzled out since the opening 8-1 run I started on. At 19-11 overall so only 11-10 since that hot start.

DAL/CHI over 6 ½ -105 Was torn on this originally b/c of the low scoring Stars offense, but with the current streak of overs for Chicago and looking back to see how games played out against similar low scoring teams like NJD, VAN, OTT, MIN, BUF, EDM, DET—all overs—it seems any offense can generate against this 1980’s track-meet Blackhawks team.
SJS -1/2 -130 Sharks coming off a shut out so expecting an offensive bounce back here.
CGY -1 ½ -108 Just because.
WIN -125 Very similar in all underlying metrics with the big exception being shooting %. Winnipeg is a top five team in that category and Arizona is a bottom five team. The Jets talent players should take advantage here and the offense is feeling good after a nice 6-goal burst yesterday.
WIN to win the opening faceoff -120 Jets ranked #12 @50.3% and Coyotes ranked #30 @46.7%
