Dave- the onside kick isn’t a proper comparison. More times than not they don’t recover the onside kick. Once they pull the goalie in hockey it’s like an 80% chance another goal will be scored. And then even if they’re still down by 2 goals they’ll still go empty net and give up another goal lol like wtf. The goalie should have to stay in his fkn place but yes I know I’m crying like a bytch for losing a bet just say that. But don’t compare an onside kick to empty net. It’s not the same at all.

The thing is about gambling is you're always going to complain when it doesnt go your way, but we all know there were some wagers you made in which you got lucky and it did go your way. I'm sure you benefited a few times on an empty net when you had the OVER before. BTW...I had over 5.5 in the Flames Caps game. It hit 4-2 before the net was even empty. Had a gut feeling this game would go over since everyone was taking the under I like to go opposite.

You win some and you lose some with the empty netter, no point crying about it. Stop playing unders and the +1/+1.5 and you won't have to worry about empty net goals.

That’s it exactly brother. Was a time you’d feel pretty proud of yourself with the Under going into the third 1-1 or 2-1. Now you just assume you’ll lose.

@TreyInventor I'm not so sure it's actually 80% with the empty nets. The books let you live bet empty nets and they would get killed if it it was actually 80%.
It is far higher than 80% — closer to 95% —if I have the UNDER. When I have the OVER — then it is right at 10%.

Over/Unders in hockey for the most part are a crapshoot because of the empty netters. If you don't like empty netters the other option is the 1st period totals.
