He needs consistant line mates. He is with different people almost every shift. His best goal scorer was Sykora who the benched in last years playoffs. Ponekarowski (sp) was supposed to be they answer and he is getting scratched from the line up. I would love to see Rupp on his line tomorrow. Let go PENS!!!!

Ponikarovsky is no answer for a team, guy skates on egg shells.
Fedotenko shouldn't be sitting, guy had 14 pts last playoffs last season and no pts in 6 games these playoffs. Scored some big goals for them last year.
Malkin isn't the problem on this team.

I agree you cant blame all of the problems they are having on Malkin but a huge game from him would help a lot

Pony trade was a mistake. Fedetenko was not playing well but that was accentuated by pony's poor effort. Feds was losing too many puck battles and not producing enough so I saw no problem sitting him a game or two. Will be interesting to see if sitting has lit a fire under him that they can use if he dresses game 7.

Malkin has been the Pens best player this series and it is not even close. Crosby has been weak as shit, Staal is obviously hurting from his injury and they don't have anyone else that has made an impression.
Subban has been a beast for Montreal and the only times he has looked like a rookie has been against Malkin.

JT, I agree with you the entire playoff series Pony as shown me nothing. I think they do need to get Fedetenko back in the line up for tomorrow and Coach Dan should not be dicking around with his lines so much.
I almost wonder if they should have McKee back in the line up, cause I sure haven't seen much toughness by their D this series. That goal by Lapierre, was a disgrace by the Penguins D. One guy that hasn't done much for me is Leopold.
I would like to see the Penguins D, continue with some higher shots from the point, cause they have scored a few goals this way and perhaps the Habs won't be so anxious to cluster in front of the net, if they have a couple ringing past their ear.

I would not be surprised to see Mckee (but not sure if for Leopold or Gogo). While he does not have good speed they have been more solid fundamentally with him in there. Paired with either other D-man, they can be a little more aggressive with him in there. I agree they need to keep the point shots coming, but need to win some rebound battles as well.
I think Sid will them to a win, whiether by a big game or just a big play.

we've seen the flyers gain some confidence and steam, we've seen the Sharks drop the MONKEY,we''ve seen the Nucks fold up like a cheap suit as injuries and inconsistent defensive tactics failed them

Crosby is due guys. Look for him to have a huge game in Game 8!
Seriously, this was all I heard after game 2. He was shit this entire series.
I have or should say had tons of respect for the kid but he showed his true colors with his post game comments. More crying and whining about the refs, basically saying the Habs got lucky since they were outchanced 2-1 every game. The Pens first threatening shot on goal came 5 minutes into the 2nd last game lol and I highly doubt anyone would think the Pens dominated Games 5 and 6.
Here is the most telling stat of Game 7..Pens had 14 giveaways and the Habs had 0. Pens had 3 blocked shots and the Habs had 26.
Sure, Fleury was terrible, he has been most of this season but its clear the Habs wanted it more.
All this was done without Markov, which is the most impressive thing to me. Obviously there is no I in team, but this teams record without him over the years was brutal. Now they just beat the defending champs without him.
