that's good to hear, but until i see game 6 start with Hossa wearing a suit, i'm gonna chide the league about what is looking like just another double standard.
lippsman, i'm not trying to argue with you. i understand exactly what you're saying. i know how the league does it -- i've been playing, coaching, watching hockey for 3 decades. i know what constitutes a double-minor/major/match penalty these days, but that doesn't mean i have to like it. my argument is with the league, not you. as a lifer hockey fan, i'm just not satisfied with what i'm seeing these days with officiating and league disciplinary action.
last year malkin suspension recinded. this year chara. eric belanger loses 6 teeth last night and there's no call, but mike green barely grazes a guy who draws a penalty by throwing his hands up and flopping around on the ice . hossa gets no game misconduct but ovechkin does for the same play. matt cooke cheap shots savard with no penalty or suspension, but sean avery makes an off-color locker room joke and gets 6 games. THE LIST GOES ON AND ON and i'm just sick of it. they're ruining the game.
