Not sold yet on Leafs tonight...

Question

I understand the players who are in/out for Montreal (they'll be missing Koivu tonight) and Halak will be in goal. But Carbo will surely be telling them your not going to be in perfect shape in the playoffs and they'd better be able to beat the Leafs who have nothing to play for, or they won't be able to do it against a playoff team. The only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger is that its their 2nd of a B2B and watching the game last night Montreal was not in the game (until 5 minutes left in the game). Could be that they are looking over irrelevant Buffalo and looking forward to a good Leafs battle? Eh...i dunno.

Still scratching my head over this play but I feel like I want to stick with the Habs.

Any thoughts?

Montreal will have loads of motivation tonight since Ottawa lost. If Montreal wins tonight they clinch the division. Also they are battling for first in the conference.

This is the first game for the leafs since being mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. They have been busting their asses for a month and should have a let up tonight which it toally understandable and expected.

Montreal is 6-4-0-1 on the second night of a back to back and 4-2 when the first game is a win. The travel from Buffalo to Toronto is irrelevant because it is almost the same as playing in the same city.

Halak has great numbers since being called up.

I can see the story line now....Montreal clinchees the division on Hockey Night in Canada against the rival leafs. Perfect storyline for the execs.

over halak is in. sundin and antropov are in and komoserik is out. He was the defensmen to play against sundin. If there was anyone on mtl giving sundin a hard time it was him bc of his physicality, expects sundin to get a few tonight and the young guys to play well. I can see the leafs scoring 3-4 and the habs getting 3-4 as well.

montreal beat ottawa this week, they arent looking ahead to that game thats for sure.

Yeah they said that when asked if they were looking forward to the game against Ottawa. &#xA0;Of course they look forward to it but their not focusing on it, they will show up against the Leafs.
